Supposedly, kid wanted to redshirt but Beamer told him no and the kid refused to go on the mizzou trip and then Beamer pulled the trigger. Kid’s attitude has had issues since HS, supposedly

I don’t really consider that attitude issue. Kid probably realized he made a mistake going to USCs and is looking out for himself.

Trying to set yourself up for future success isn’t an attitude issue.

Also unless USCe had a good reason after saying he was being redshirted I get the frustration whether justified or not as being a member of a team. Kids have options these days especially on the first transfer

Just adding on from reading their boards, the South Carolina DL Coach (Jimmy Lindsey) who recruited McCleod left this past May to go to LSU.

Supposedly McCleod doesn’t like his replacement and he was planning on entering the portal after the season but they forced his hand by trying to play him in a 5th game and burn his RS.

That sounds a whole lot more plausible than he doesn’t like cold weather.

The new South Carolina DL coach also was hired after spring practice was over and the spring portal window was closed. So he probably didn’t get to spend much time around the new guy until fall practice began.
They need to just get rid of the redshirt and give kids 5 years to play. If you get seriously injured in your junior or senior year you can apply for a medical redshirt, but otherwise just let everyone play 5.

I think I know how Shane broke his foot... kicking this kid on the way out

How is this an issue or attitude problem?

Most coaches wish that they had Freshmen that wanted to redshirt, instead of demanding immediate playing time, like most high rated recruits nowadays.

Also, beggars can’t be choosers. Bring him in if he wants to come play here.

Nah, I'm not saying this was the example of an attitude issue but if you talk to USCe fans, they'll tell you he's had other issues and they go back to HS.

The ITU pods have become unlistenable. He had zero insight into what happened with either Blount or LJ and just bumbles over himself.
he is the worst hedger i've ever heard on any podcast or public outlet

he can't even commit to choosing miami to win a game/recruitment without first prefacing it with 5 minutes of hedging before hand
