Yeah, there’s more to this just like there was with Burroughs. These writers and media love to bury a kid when hes out the door.

Just adding on from reading their boards, the South Carolina DL Coach (Jimmy Lindsey) who recruited McCleod left this past May to go to LSU.

Supposedly McCleod doesn’t like his replacement and he was planning on entering the portal after the season but they forced his hand by trying to play him in a 5th game and burn his RS.

That sounds a whole lot more plausible than he doesn’t like cold weather.

The new South Carolina DL coach also was hired after spring practice was over and the spring portal window was closed. So he probably didn’t get to spend much time around the new guy until fall practice began.

If we were to somehow land this guy it would almost erase our issues at DT.It would be the equivalent of signing 3 top DTS in 23 in Horton,Acheapong and Mcleoud.Would just need to hold on to Jones for this class and we have 4 young talented DTs to go with Moten,Campbell,Burroughs maybe JHH and whoever else we add from JC or portal.Not too bad considering all the misses in this class.

I was told he was a stash , develop and add weight. Next year he’s likely in the rotation. We’re getting so thin now I wouldn’t be shocked if he got more burn. Especially with us using a bigger DL bear front.

Yeah seems like UM can make a legit case for him to get here unless like many the backchanneling was done with someone else. Does he have to announce in that new window now? 45 total days?

He hasn't played a game yet so we can use him for a month while others get healthy.
