What are we doing man? I know he is represented by Rosenhaus Sports Agency/Shawn O'Dare former Miami player, but he is a 3rd/4th round pick, and his last time on field he fumbled the season away. Like there is no way X doesnt want to play in this bowl game.

These agents, Miami alums, are real friends of the program.

This is same sleezey group that pulled TVD to Bama stunt after spring practice, and shook down Miami for more money. Also pulled Colbie Young stunt that tried shaking down Miami for more money.

Restrepo isnt going to lose money playing in a bowl game unless a limb literally falls off. Its scare tactics by agents.

D and Ariz also saying on podcast Brown isnt playing and obviously not Horton.

We arent winning a bowl game without 3 of our top 4 WRs. Iowa State isnt going to have that sorta opt out impact.

Its whatever at this point.

I truly hope that if/when the playoffs go to 16 teams they just drop all other bowl games. Zero need for any of them. Set up a True Senior Bowl and then maybe each conference can have a senior all star event or run pro-days/combines where the kids compete against each other.

Anything but bowl games. Remove that month and add let schools add like 8-10 practices to the spring. You are paying them like pro's make them practice like it.

Unless you're in the playoffs every bowl game is meaningless.
Not to alot of the players, it also goes on coaches records, and alot of money involved. Its not meaningless at all.

Meaningless would be spring games

Back to X, me being a competitor, I couldnt walk off field for last time knowing my mistake played a huge role in the team not getting to the playoffs.

But again point of my post is agents have ruined college football. Slimy sleezey self interest bunch in alot of cases.

I disagree with you bro. Not everyone is getting paid like a pro. There are a bunch of kids who know they're not going to the next level and just play football for the sake of playing football. Let them have their bowl games man.
Personally, I'll lose some respect for X if he doesn't play. Sorry, miss me with the it's not financially worth it stuff. imo if you're only about what it does for you and your money. Then you lose my respect as a player. You guys do you, that's where I'm at. I'm all for players getting paid but you disrespect your team mates, the guys who helped get you there, by not playing with them for the final game of the year.

Good bye. Doesn’t matter.

1998 Bowls rendered worthless but 2 or 3 rotating

2018 loyalty ended

2021 greed circle completed

Factor in the SEC and Big 10…. College football has been destroyed by the elites. Best part is warnings were sent out in the 90’s and those people were called old. Didn’t care about the poor players LMAO

Dude bled orange and green for four years, did everything expected of him and was a great ambassador for the program. Get off of his **** back, he has the right to opt out and honestly, I don’t blame him. We don't know if he’s been battling an injury or he’s beat up and just wants to move on.

A dude like X, I have no beef with him sitting out. He’s done more than enough for this program and unlike Cam, he likely doesn’t have some huge insurance contract to where he’s covered either way.

Coaches make business decisons.

Players make business decisions.

TV networks make business decisons.

Conferences make business decisions.

Fans make business decisions

It's disappointing that X ain't playing, but these consolation bowl games will be a thing of the past soon enough

I totally agree with the fact that most are not getting paid and most will never take a pro snap. Thats what gets lost in all this NIL/NFL talk.

The greatest team of all time, 2001 Miami Hurricanes probably had 45-60 guys (with walkons) that likely never got 1 cent to play professional football. But they did all hopefully get a degree and are using it.

I just think bowl games are going to get ugly...unless they change the portal window somehow. Maybe January 1st - January 15th. That leaves most schools enough time to figure it all out. Not a lot of time but most can make it work.

I would also like NIL deals to say 'you play in every ******* game' or you pay it all back.

This right here is the culture Mario is trying to rid program of. This new age mentality, where ***** the team, im going to listen to self serving agents not follow my competitive gut.

Its a football game where you have a chance to compete, and win, and do something that hasnt been done at the school in 20 years.

In your last game YOU made the critical
Error that essentially cost your team the game. Come back for some
Redemption. No he doesnt owe us, he owes it to himself.

If we ever played bball I would 100% want to guard you.

O’Dare is a huge boner not because of this but for other reasons.

Good for X , very wise move , it’s only business now and needs to protect his product he’s more valuable then ever before.

He IS doing what’s BEST for his family 🙌

You’re blaming agents for doing their jobs. This is how the system operates as set up now. Ultimately, the players make the decision to play or not, to ask for more money or not and to accept offers or not.
