I think it's a moot point because the reports I've read say that he signed something in December but hadn't received any payment based upon what he signed. I'd love to read what they had him sign. I have some suspicions about the type of agreement it was and why the collective asked him - and I assume many others who declined and have since successfully entered the portal - to sign it.

NIL isn't pay for play is the argument. If he receives money from the collective, he's earned it. It isn't like when an NFL team tries to claw back a signing bonus if a guy refuses to play in a game.
