They are alleging that Lucas has a NIL contract signed and is refusing to pay back money, which Wisconsin is using to reason their refusal to his portal entrance.

I wonder when a lawyer will tell them what they're doing is extremely illegal.
Impossible. I was told that NIL and collectives are separate entities from the schools. There is not pay to play.

Yeah, self help is never a good idea. Follow the portal protocol and address the other issues separately.

It's more so that fans have no idea what's going on. They're also saying Wisconsin is doing this because Miami tampered. Fans don't realize to this day that NIL and university relations with the player are legally seperated (for good reason).

Wisconsin is doing something illegal and they should probably do as said or receive legal consequences as a result.

True, but there could potentially be a revenue sharing component to his new deal.

Good for Xavier, it’s all he had to do. He gave Wisconsin every opportunity to do the right thing, and is now taking the last bit of action he can (blasting publicly) before the attorney has to be used.

Now either release him, or go to court. If Wisconsin thinks they have an argument here regarding contractual obligations or whatever, then it’s a nasty battle that’ll drag on…but regardless, even if they THINK they have an argument, it’s a horrible look.

Never had anything to do with Miami, always a Wisconsin and player issue.
