Xavier Lucas in the portal

Texas is the one that's hard to justify.

Their "difficult" SEC schedule was a joke. They played 6 of the 7 bottom teams in the SEC standings, Texas A&M, who they struggled to beat 17-7, and UGA, who they lost to.

Their non conference schedule was UL Monroe, Colorado State, UTexas San Antonio, and Michigan.

The only ranked team they played all year was UGA, who they lost both games to.

What did they do to EARN their ranking?
SEC is a myth at this point. PSU, OSU, and Oregon could have win that conference.

Incoming Freshman, that Carter wont play, Antione apparently returning from ACL injury just like Richard.
Yeah Brantley is healthy, and a great pickup. Doesn't mean it's bad to have more depth with the probably outcome that he ends up missing time at some point. I don't think anyone should just assume Damari is absolutely returning after he already tried leaving once. Anyways between Damari and Lucas one could move to Safety....

If Karnley isn't being told/sold on immediately PT, I don't see the problem. I think people acting like a DB with his measurables AND some outside analysts rating him decently highly has no shot is kinda wild lol.
We have several who should never see the field unless it’s special teams . Richard’s is number 25 right he is one the two im talking about .

Exactly. 3 losses and getting murked by a terrible Oklahoma team in November and jumping us on a bye week for beating Mercer …
Its shady as ****.

The committee isn't supposed to discuss their rankings with anyone outside the committee.

Yet somehow it leaked to odds-makers hours before the reveal that SMU had gotten in over Alabama. Then, McMurphy confirmed it before the reveal.

The committee chairman tried to blame someone at ESPN for the leak. But.. how is that supposed to work if ESPN "doesn't find out until viewers do"?

At the very least, he admitted to discussing rankings with people at ESPN.

Lol its madness!

He was probably trying to pin blame on the graphics people, who have to know beforehand, which means everybody knows beforehand obviously

What’s the point of a CFB playoff if they’re predisposed to putting SEC and B1G teams in over an ACC team with the same or fewer losses who was more competitive in their losses with the number 1 offense in CFB???

I’d much rather that they do separate championship playoffs by conference or by pairs of conferences and let the winners play. Or just declare the SEC and B1G your annual champion disgracefully

This is a great idea. I would love to see final four conference tourney, especially with how unbalanced the schedules are in this big football conferences. Like we were probably better than SMU this year.

I'd be down to do that and then do 6 team playoff with P4 tourney winners + 2 at large with top 2 getting first round byes or something like that

I believe was Pate who said he thinks they'll change the conference championship format to something like what you're describing.

There would be 3 automatic bids going to the SEC/B1G. The top 2 teams in each of those conferences would be auto qualifiers and their 3rd and 4th best teams would play in a "conference championship" game for their 3rd automatic bid.

The loser of those games would still have a shot in the at large pool.

Meanwhile, the ACC/Big12's conference championship games would be the same. Winner gets an auto bid, loser goes to the at large pool.

I still don’t love it. These extra auto bids to the SEC and B1G are an extension of what we’re complaining about along with the at large bid process, which this year saw Bama jump us. I don’t have a better answer, maybe the conference tournament winners get in and then they go by some formula that factors in losses and all that the way they determines that Clemson got in to the ACCCG this year as opposed to us???

My God these guys are b*tches. Hey Wisky if you want to take this approach don't complain when players don't want to play for you given how you treat them. If they really do take this route every kid should be wary of ever signing with that school.
they still cant stop him from transferring. they can just delay.
