Couple that with the lack of multiple highlight reel style catches. The guy could break all records and not get any credit for being a solid receiver unless he did a one handed catch over a defender for a game winning touchdown.

Go watch the tape, and there’s a reason he has second round/third round grades heading into 2024. There’s a reason we got into a bidding war with AtM despite our WR room being “loaded”.

750-800 yards minimum from Brown, wouldn’t be shocked to see a 1k next to his name if all goes right.

If anyone wants to debate jacolby i can accept that but people saying horton when he literally has done the bare minimum is hilarious lol..Our fans act as if we have never had great players with the way they are so quick to crown guys after camp talk and a few plays in game

Totally on point. Jacolby’s ceiling is high, but the lack of consistency hitting that ceiling to me just isn’t worth a shoe-in WR2 status.

If he’s locked in, man that’s a scary, scary trio we’re trotting out there…with some hungry dudes in that WR4-6 spot.

We’ll be playing a ton of 11 this year, or at least we better be. That’s our best lineup. Brown at X, George at Z, Restrepo in the slot with Arroyo in-line or flexed and Martinez in the backfield.

Stack the box to take away Martinez? Bet.

Go light to space the field and cover our receivers? Here comes 1500 pounds of dudes (pause) with Martinez behind them. Or even better, get an extra hat and run Ward into a 5 man box.

Then get real funky and put Lofton in the game and put him in the backfield.

I’d have so much fun coordinating this offense. Possibilities are endless.

Idk man lol i think we are underrating jacolby..he went for 57 for 864 with our qb situation. Thats great for someone who was considered our 2nd option, he is closer to wr1 than he is #2 to me with cam here.

I think the penalties are clouding everyone’s judgement, he was consistent when he was targeted.

Think about this..X went for 85 - 1092, jacolby was only off 200 yards with about 30 less catches and im sure way less targets because of the way the offense is structured and X being tvd favorite target(not knocking X at all he is the most reliable every snap)…We are gonna see a leap from him this year

right, but 85 of those yards came from an FSU defender falling down.

2 for 5 against Clemson
2 for 13 against Rutgers
3 for 55 against Louisville
5 for 28 against UVA
2 for 45 against UNC

I realize the QB carousel hurts this, so I’m with you. But it’s still not consistent enough to say “oh he’s our stand-alone WR2 option”. He disappeared way too often, very boom or bust.

Nc state ***. He had 6 for 125 vs unc

I understand the concern but to me if we had a steady qb in those games he would of continued how he started.

All of those games u named besides Louisville we had Emory or jacurri, or tvd playing his worst…Even X production dropped off alot in that stretch from clemson to fsu

I think him with cam is perfect, alot of his production with tvd had to be designed for tvd to get him the ball. But either way he does have to be more consistent snap to snap like X.

Can't agree enough. So much pick your poison for opposition D coordinators to deal with. We have no obvious areas to exploit and can hurt you in so many ways. Should be a fun year.
