WR Jontavious Carter off the team

If 2 wideouts to down he is the fourth WR.... You guys actually naive enough to think we won't lose 2-3 WRs during. The course of the year?

Is it really surprising to some that the 6th WR on the depth chart transferred? Especially a depth chart with only 1 SR above you.

This happens everywhere.

I think it's more because while he was the 6th guy, there was potential there and many including myself expected D Jones to be the guy to go.

On another note, this should press the issue on a couple of our other WR potential recruits. Between barrios, and Dixon one of them needs to commit now. ****, hopefully it helps us with Randolph.

Carter did seem like he had potential but when you are 6th of the depth chart and you got passed by a true FR, this move isn't surprising. Going into next year he is the 5th WR behind Dorsett, Scott, Water, Lewis, Coley. Still not much playing time there.

He probably saw he wasn't going to get much burn the next 2 years and decided to move on.

If anything, I see this as a huge positive.

I think with a big year, there's a chance Dorsett leaves early. Also, most teams nowadays use 3/4 WR sets on a regular basis. Coupled with the chance of injuries, players like Carter are never all that far away.

I dunno, I look at both ways. There's no doubt this rosters talent has been upgraded, which is great news

But on the flipside, I think this is different than Dilard because Carter seems to have a higher ceiling as a player

I don't think Dorsett leaves early, because, stat wise, I don't think he has a big year. If everyone remains healthy, because we have 6 legit guys, I think the ball will be spread around. I don't see one guy catching 70 passes.

****, this was my dude right here. He was a **** of a goon though too, not sure if that's playing a role or not.

Wonder if Al's "we are thin at WR" comment came with knowledge of Carter leaving or not?

One thing I was sure of was that either Jones or Carter would end up transferring. Didn't think it would be Carter, but oh well.

I agree with that but kids are short sided and impatient these days. We would have to see 2-3 injuries at the same time for him to get a lot of burn this year. At this point we have 6 really solid guys and an unknown Jones. Hopefully, we don't have a situation this year where we miss Carter.

All the guys that have left the program recently weren't going to be major contributors this year.

Also, 7th on the depth chart this year, 6th next year (was off my one).

D'Mauri got next.... he gon get a lot of PT this year.

I don't think he'll get on the field much.

Dorsett, Hurns, Waters, Coley, Scott, and Lewis are ahead of him.

Yeah but he's going to get on the field.... the guys that are in front of him arent enough bodies to keep him off the field at certain times. He's going to get on the field even if its just during garbage time.

Plus last year Hurns and Lewis went down w/ injuries, one person goes down and he's going to get even more rep then i even expect.

Al is clearing space. He was never going to play here.

It's like ppl on this board are so far gone and know so little about sports, that I have found myself pausing to make sure i'm not the one tripping smh.

Do you know how ridiculous u sound.... Al is clearing space for what? He recruited Jon. Carter, and everybody was impressed w/ his growth up to this point, Miami doesnt have enough receiver depth for Al to be "clearing space"????

Yeah and he was "never" going to play here b/c what he isnt from Florida or b/c he was just a 3 star???... i mean wtf could u really be talking about?

He was a **** of a goon though too.

Elaborate.

I have no personal info on him but guys that know the team, and have had classes with Carter have talked extensively about his "goon status". He was already suspended by Golden before as well. He was one of the ones talked about, along with EJ, Finnie, Terry that could be potential discipline problems down the road. Seemingly all of those have come true at some point.

According to twitter he was also arrested in Jan for resisting an officer, completed pre-trial diversion program.

But I think this was a situation where the kid thought he wasn't going to play.

Gotcha. Wonder if this changes Golden's thinking on taking these type of guys. EJ and Finnie were last minute additions but he had time to evaluate Carter and Terry.

So I guess I'm the only one worries about guys dropping off the team like flies?? This **** is concerning brah... Any dumb *** that think he wasn't going to record playing time has peas for brains... Injuries happens and this kills our depth... This ain't good

LMFAO this guy would have lost his mind during the JJ era. These cuts bring a smile to my face knowing that we are pushing out the ones who can't cut it. It's something that shows your program is becoming more competitive.

U have no clue. He recruited this chump after being hired with a week left of recruitingHe has cut bait with most. A Jones might last this year
But next year he's gone. Where was Carter gonna play? He's been passed over. We got min 3 coming in. 3 more after that. Dude is a stick with no speed. Seen it firsthand at practice, did u?

So he was basically Doyle Aaron?( Old-school Cane reference)

If so, well, no loss....

Where Picksix and the rest of the stooges so yall can tell me the main reason he gone is b/c Al Golden kicked off the team b/c he wasnt good enough..... lol

There he is! Zone3 is here just to discuss football. Yeah he isn't the biggest douchebag troll this board has ever seen or anything.

Kids gone because he was buried on the depth chart and Golden gave him the talk. Yepopah, he wasn't good enough to cut it at Miami. Now give me your loser mentality speech how he was just a freshman and not everybody is going to be a baller and he could have provided depth to push the other guys. Lol!

**** you're annoying..

Pot meet kettle...

So you're the pot and umhurricane, six toes are kettles.. cool
