For some odd reason, I thought "RISING SOPHOMORE" was a title given to freshmen who had successful freshmen campaigns and have now raised there status going into there sophomore seasons. Guess I was wrong.

It's not "according to me". It's a widely known thing to anyone who has kids that play competitive sports.

I'm not one to keep receipts, but I recall many fellow Cane fans rejoicing when the Portal transfer process became a thing in college athletics, and why not as early on we grabbed some good players.
I also remembered warning that eventually other schools will get in the game.
Schools with equal or more financial backing.
Well, he were are!

Say it louder 305. This is a huge factor moving forward. If you look at the TV coverage for the SEC. The actual personalities. Even the non SEC guys. Everyone props the SEC and B1G. We have Billy Packer's kid who is already focusing on basketball which we suck at this year also.

The heads of the ACC are Hayseeds from central Carolina. Getting two teams in the playoffs was a miracle. It won't happen again.

Having zero production coming back behind Horton was probably my only gripe with Beard…

Once it was obvious that brown wasn’t it halfway through the season his reps should have been split between Jojo and Ny. I don’t feel bad for brown he got paid and acted like a mercenary all season anyways

This on Mario, he should have been back channeling an elite qb . Now no Moss or Arnold. Mateer is not coming here. Either WSU or Oklahoma. No top wr in the portal will sign up to play with Emory. I like Emory but we need an experienced QB to continue the success next year.

Big blow for college ball if this keeps happening. The quality of ball is great and excellent parity. More teams are alive in the playoff hunt. But It’s gonna ruin the college feel it's gonna feel like the NFL soon. No tradition but just transactions year to year and will have a corporate feel. Its a semi pro league

And here I was thinking that because this kind of thing hadn't happened at Miami this off-season that we had some "positive culture" juice.

Money trumps all though...absent of any knowledge of the financial considerations, I'd like him back.
