You're right, I don't have any business complaining since I don't pay his salary, this is a great take. My mistake, Mario is awesome, we are always the best coached team on the field and he should get a lifetime contract. Who wants to be in that ridiculous playoff anyway, much rather play in the highly regarded pop tart bowl.

hasn't fired inept DC (only teams that didn't make bowl games fired coaches so far ... its early)

mediocre recruiting class (the average player rating was the same as last year. the only difference is signing 22 vs signing 25+)

losing our best returning WR (who was 4th on the team in receiving and didn't do **** in any of the last three games other than drop the game winning TD against Syracuse. I'd rather have him stay but he's not even a WR1).

and missing out on portal top talent (LOL - its basically just started. What teams have signed top portal talent so far?)

This is my point also. You can’t be ‘everyone steers in one direction no feelings no bull**** yada yada fake tough guy speech’ and then blame the tiny recruiting assistant who wears colored glasses and posts memes from the dark web in 480p quality.

I like Horton and I think its a great story to tell if he continues to develop here - not a lot of that these days. Picturing an offense of Mateer -> Horton, Singleton, Stibling and Carr/Jojo is exciting. Rivers and Daniels subbed in for Singleton and Stibiling is respectable too.

That said, if you aren’t doing everything to keep him, you better make sure you already got 2-3 of those top shelf WRs locked in. Like today/tomorrow.

Exactly. I’m not saying there’s nothing to this Dennis Smith but same time IDGAF about him. If someone is hurting our recruiting (whether it Smith or Addae or whoever comes along) that’s Mario’s fault
