I said it during this season

I said in October that this kid is on his way to being a #1 WR and sure NFLer (not a top 2 rounder most likely, but I can see 3rd or 4th) after next season. Little case of drops end of year but he's really good imo.

Regardless of how you spin it, losing him is big. Sure we can bring talent in, but this is a guy that's been in the system and knows the offense. And YES, he could definitely be a #1 for us.

He wants to be WR1 here but willing to go be WR3 anywhere else. Didn’t make sense to me so I just let it be what it’s gonna be when that is the case.

Has anyone talked to Horton to ask him why he went in the portal to start with? Sorry if it’s been said already but he was clearly going to be the number one wide receiver for us…why?

Got a raise after the season, to what I would call a respectable amount and then his agent wanted to almost double it based on what some SEC teams told him they’d pay.

I’ll believe it when I see it

I agree. He just needs to work on getting a little bit faster.
 
This is so wild

Horton is extrapolating what he could be in this offense to other places, even if the money might be better elsewhere.

He would be given every opportunity to be WR1 in our offense and have a chance to approach 1000 yards this year.

Alabama - he’d be wr2 at best or likely wr3 where he looks great in uni, makes a couple hundred more but be lucky to approach his numbers from last year.

Georgia - Colbie v2.0

Grab a high level slot and give Carr and Jojo every opportunity and circle back to JS if Day/Hartline get canned.

If Horton thinks he is going to get that kind of money to be WR3 at Bama is wild. A&M? Yeah I can see them paying it. Hopefully he didn’t burn any bridges on his way out.

If he is gone, hopefully the young guys (Trader, Carr, Robinson) are ready to step up if not need to add big WR and a slot. I have no faith in Joseph or Kirk.

I was told a number and it sounded fair. Then a week later I heard another number that he was offered elsewhere so maybe that’s why he signed the paperwork. If he’s getting the last number from Bama god bless him and I wish him all the luck in the world. “ If” they’re are paying him anywhere near that their NIL dept is on crack.
