Soo, did he officially enter? Because on these YouTube shows everyone is saying he is in the portal. If he simply signed the papers and didn’t file them, why are people acting like he entered?

Similar to the Ryan Williams, in the portal talk...fake

One thing ill say..is that Ray Ray Joseph and JoJo Trader have both been asking for their "shot"? Well...If we lose Horton and Brown..thats 4 open WR spots in the rotation that they can compete for now. No more excuses.

Somebody on the board likely has a link to the official website listing all the players IN THE PORTAL. If not, check 247 or on3.

If he's not on the list, he's not in the Portal. "Signing papers" and actually submitting the paperwork (and then the school submitting it to the NCAA) are two different things.

If Horton comes back and nothing happens last minute with Daniels, I assume we grab one more portal wr right?

That would be my plan. Go get a legit WR1 and othrwise let the young guys see the field. I would not spend on a slot. We have enough talent on roster.

Ehhh…I was a Colbie Young fan to a certain extent. But why do you think it was luck and not the coaches knowing what they had in Horton?
i think beard has done a fantastic job with the receivers so far tbh. i was pleasantly surprised.

that being said, i would like to keep horton here vs bringing in someone new just because were losing every experienced receiver we have basically.

i really hope all the draft guys and seniors opt out by next week. i really want to see the young kids and see what we have next year. its useless to have outgoing seniors and draft guys play in this bowl game and not seeing what we have in carr and trader since they didnt see much or any time at all

I’m torn. I want to win to get to 11 and retain some level of respectability. But I hear you on seeing more of the next year’s players too.

Ya…They are going to bring in at least 1…And probably 2 regardless of Horton decision. But I agree…Besides Mateer… Keeping Horton is 1B/1C along with finding more DB help

ive already stated that i dont think it transfers from 1 year to the next unless youre returning the key players. we lose cam x arroyo barrow etc so winning 11 is nice but this is a very different team next year (and could be a middling typical canes team or another great team with mateer). because of player movement, i just dont think the momentum carries over. weve seen TCU go to the natty in year 1 under dykes and be irrelevant directly after. michigan kept a lot of their core staff together and winning a title did nothing for them in terms of momentum this year. ****, UGA routed FSU and returned a lot of their key guys and lost more games this year than last.
