WR Isaiah Horton signs papers to enter Portal

What are you basing this on? He had 55/71 (78%) snaps against Syracuse. Last 4 games of the season he was 3rd among receivers in snap count and just a bit behind George in each game. Roughly in line with the rest of the season.
My eyes. I can't argue with your stats. Perhaps I should have said cam stopped throwing him the ball. That's what it seemed like. He will be missed. Hope carr and Jojo step up.

I would be very shocked if we grabbed any WR. As it stands, OL and LB would be my guess for any Portal pickups.

Agree. My point is this whole “If they want to leave I don’t want them here” thing is bull**** and people need to get past it. If you’re not trying to get as much money as you can while you can you’re an idiot. We have people in here saying 500k isn’t that different from 350k, which is an insane thing to say, especially for a 18-22 year old.
I like the way you glossed over the part where I said $500k isn't better than $350k IF you are going to be WR3 with a ****** QB

**** RayRay he needs to hit the portal
These dude have talent it’s needs to be developed… we can’t keep using the portal for 50% plus of starting positions…. We’ve missed bad at DB so those make sense but we have talent at WR beard needs to earn his check and have those boys ready…

Get a number one in singelton and let the young pups play off of him as he sees doubles

Can’t catch, he’s slow and can’t break tackles so yea I’m sure there are better options in the portal

Lost in the stupidity of it all was the fact JG had 6 catches for 121 yards for the game. That said, I can't be convinced JG wasn't purposely (and stupidly) popping up into that defender's grill. Those sorts of bonehead antics after the whistle have left their mark on his career.

Of course, if Horton just catches the ball JG never gets the chance to act a fool. Horton was a non-factor the entire game, until he was a negative factor for us.
Exactly how I feel. I get the “hate” but I just have a soft spot bc of how hard he plays. I guarantee he’s a great teammate. Still retarded.. but he’s our ******.

Horton got a free pass. Huge drop. Then disappears.

How long before people in this board now say Horton is better than Jeremiah smith? lol
Cam was throwing dots when guys had no separation and were blanketed, thats an NFL QB, They were open even when they weren't open, an average cfb QB let alone most cfb qbs need guys to be schemed open.......Cam is the system. You always got to ask is the WR routes so deadly its getting him open or is the QB throwing him open, when you figure that out you can figure out if the player is replaceable or not.

I'm bummed out Horton left. I agree I never bought into him as a number 1 WR but he was a good number 2 WR and right now we don't even have a number 2 or 3 WR. Also Horton was a HS recruit that I would have liked to keep. I wish him the best of luck on whatever SEC team he lands with but this s#cks.

I dislike the current state of college football.
I hate it. Can’t come to love a bunch of mercenaries on teams or when you start enjoying some young, productive guys (pause), they bounce. This is not college football.

This upcoming 2025 season will be my last year with season tickets and for me, this is part of the reason. I’ve had season tickets since 2002.

It’s becoming the NFL more and more and us being mediocre for a 22nd out of 24 years, it’s not worth my investment and time. Plus my partner in crime, my son, is an athlete & now a freshman in high school. He can’t attend most Saturdays with me anymore. I end up going by myself most times.

I’ll just watch on TV.

Wouldn't be that bad if it was limited to 1 transfer and then a sit out for the 2nd one or something.

Impossible to plan you're roster out.
I wish the rule of having to sit out a year was still in effect. Players get paid but less likely to transfer.

The ability to transfer without sitting out multiple times to me is crazy and the main reason why college football is what it is now.

Worst part is I don't think it'll get better anytime soon. P2 holds all the cards, and they're not going to be clamoring for change when they're getting 100% of the HS 5 stars and whomever they want in the portal.

So you have a problem when 2-3 head coaches make a move but not when over 1k kids make a move?
