In my view the wide reciever position was collateral damage in the Cristobal hireing. Sorry guys but we replaced a quality WR coach with a coach that has neither played or coached the position before. That's not the way to build a championship staff.

A good coach is a good coach. Golden obviously had faith in Carroll to do the job. Jed Fisch didn't even play the game of football and he's our O-coordinator/QB coach. It happens all the time in College and Pro coaching. Aubrey Hill played the position and it's regarded around these parts that he was a horrible WR coach.
