WR Class

Keep an eye on Berrios. He's a smart kid. If he graduates early I wouldn't be shocked to see him leave. He was horribly misused this year out wide running streak routes. Should have been a slot guy where he could help us.

There's always some surprise roster movement every year, and I'm keeping an eye on him and Gus Bus.

Flat out miss by the staff with regard to WR class. Dugans recruiting has not lived up to the hype so far.

People need to stop with the Dugans recruiting non-sense. This was a light class at WR in South Fla and we didn't land the elite guy, because we were late to the game (not Dugans fault). Last year we signed 3 elite recruits, one of them being the best freshmen WR in the country. It is not his fault that Bruce was immature.

Oh yeah, totally a light class. We only had two of the top 5 wide receivers in America right here in Broward. (Jeudy and Grimes).

Such a down year

Grimes was a heavy link to OSU for years. We had little to no shot from the get go.

I agree. If BB stays he needs to just stay in the slot. I truly believe he would do a lot of damage there.

Obviously wanted some star power here but I'm fine with

Dallas
Njoku
Hartley

The class isn't huge, but it's solid. Can't miss on Hartley. We still need one more imho

Defenses are going to scheme around Richards next year so someone on the other side has to step up. I'm not so fond of our WR recruiting right now, I don't see a playmaker on the other side of Richards and that will hurt us IMO.

I think you're selling Cager, Dallas, Mullins and Harley short. All of them are explosive and serious gets. The only constant is change. These four will all be players. We just have to hope the stay healthy and out of trouble. I'm more concerned with a lack of depth than talent.

We needed a plug and play WR, and we didn't get it.

Richards, Cager, and Berrios (IN THE GOD**** SLOT, GODDAMNIT) is an attract starting lineup to me. With Mullins threatening for somebody's playing time.

But after that, yikes. A freshman needs to step up.

I may be selling them short to be honest. I'm not saying I don't like them or anything I just want one of them to step up so Richards doesn't get zoned in on. And I agree about the depth for sure.

I wouldn't reach for another JAG.

Not ideal at all but take Njoku and Harley, call it a day.

We need dudes to play, so leaving it at 2 isn't a great option. It's not ideal, but go out and find a fast guy and hope you can teach him to catch, or a slow guy who can catch. Never know when one of these guys will pan out, and we've got plenty of room on the team.

We shouldnt over sign, why should we sign dudes just for numbers? Im cool with just njoku and harley then go all out next year on pope, xavier, etc (hopefully not strike out again) sign them two get a grad transfer or two and call it a day on wideouts

You are giving Dugans credit for last year's class, even though 2 of the 3 were committed before Golden was fired. He also lost that other kid to Tennessee last year -- the one he was on from his time at USF. Yet, you give him a pass for this year because Miami was late to the game (but somehow he was not at fault). Come on, he has not delivered on his hype as a recruiter. I think he did a great job coaching the WR group this season, but he seems to be more hype than substance as a recruiter.

It's a sh*tty year for WR's in SFLA.

Dugans landed the three best WR's in SFLA last year.

This year it's Juedy then Harley and a bunch of d*gcrap after that.

So many excuses in this thread.

At recruiting was a massive fail. Period.

Gotta play the game and bring the duffle bags

I like Mike Smith. Don't know y we're not after him. Close up shop w him, Harley, and possible Juco WR and I'll give it a B-

He's not selling any of them short. They're all tremendous slouches.

Lawrence Cager was a highly recruited Army All American and people pretend he does not exist. Its absurd.

If he recovers fully he will be the #2 WR next year.

Check out his ESPN combine numbers....

LAWRENCE CAGER 6'5" 200
20 yard dash 4.32
vert 33.5
power throw 37

JERRY JEUDY 6'1" 180
40 yard dash 4.55
20 yard dash 4.2
vert 37.4
power throw 42

Wish I had a 40 yard time for Cager.

Not saying Cager is the prospect that Juedy is; however, the kid has tons of upside and plenty of athletic ability.

Dee Jay is gonna play CB and play alot next year.

Kids simply don't play both ways anymore.
