Smart is 10x the coach Richt is.
Yeah with the same amount of championships.

How long have they been coaches?
Well, Kirby went to the dance in his second season, something Rorcht never did. FAILU2Cane said:
The point that's still missed is that the results or lack of them for UGa don't change the fact that they were not satisfied with " almost there" and gambled, and I think gambled big, by firing Richt. While the jury is out as to whether they will win the SEC with Smart, kudos to them for not waiting it out. JMO.
Yeah, and they already won the SEC when Richt was there, too.
Winning the SEC is not the question. It's whether or not UGA can win a National Championship for the first time since the days of Herschel.
Richt couldn't quite do it, and now Kirby can't quite get it done either.
Remember that time Bill Belichick went for it on 4th down with Tom Brady and didn't make it....ended up losing the game.
I bet Pats fans wish they had Richt instead.

NO ONE will dispute your last paragraph lolMiami is so irrelevant that we were ranked #8 going into the season.
Miami is so irrelevant that we got lumped into a list with a bunch of nobodies for having a disappointing season. (FSU, Michigan State, Wisconsin, and USC). Yeah, you're right, none of these teams could dream of being relevant or blue bloods.
Miami is so irrelevant that people laugh at the idea that football teams across the country from little league to the **** NFL is now aware of "the turnover chain". But EVERYONE just knew that Bama had a turnover "Championship belt".
Yeah, Miami's totally irrelevant and an after thought.
Coker was already coaching a long time at UM, unlike Kirby at UGA...You have to coach for a long time at a talented school to win a ship now? Larry Cooker a hot boi then.

Because he was already at UM where he helped recruit the kids he won the title with...sheeshLol. Cooker won a nc his first year as HEAD COACH.

You're a huge fan of coming up short in big games? Is that your thing?I'm 3 days late to this thread but it is still hilarious.
I'd give my left ******** to be Georgia right now.
@Earnest T. Bass you are a loon.
What do they call beating Notre Dame 41 to 8 (the number 3 team in the country at the time)?
What do they call winning the ACC Coastal for the first time in the history of the program?
What do they call winning 10 straight games with paper-thin depth and major injuries to many key players after 13 years of being an NCAA toilet bowl cleaner?
What do they call beating FSU on consecutive years after dressing in women's tight-fitting clothing for countless years and being made to be FSU's girlfriends?
What does it mean when College Gameday visits Miami's campus for the first time ever and it turned out to be a 3 hour Canes infomercial?
What does it mean to potentially go 8 and 5 after the catastrophic destruction by Shannon, Golden, and Shapiro? It means the program has been lucky to survive and is still trying to repair 13 years of unspeakable damage.
You're a huge fan of coming up short in big games? Is that your thing?
UGA's window closing very quickly as the rest of the SEC is getting better.
careful you may pull a muscle with all that absurd stretching.
Georgia is about to stack its 4th straight top 5 class (the 4 classes Kirby has been present for) and won their conference in year 2 and fell just short of doing it again in year 3, yes Kirby is to blame for the fake punt call.
We lost by 5 TDs in our lone ACCCG performance, got smoked in the Orange Bowl, and we're capping off a 7-5 season with a recruiting class that currently ranks below Purdue.
So, to answer your question, yes I'd like to be in UGA's spot right now.
