Would Harbaugh seriously consider the Rams?

If he got more money.

He is a West coast guy.

This is a chance to stick it to the 49ers.

That said, it think he stays at Ann Arbor.

that aint his dream job, he just went there because the nfl job openings were **** after the 49ers let him go. a guy with an ego like his is gonna want back in the league especially how close he was to winning a super bowl, just waiting for the right opportunity. if the colts job were to open up that would be the one to watch for because they have a QB.

You realize that he's a Michigan alum, and he idolizes Bo Schembechler, right? Harbaugh realizes that coaching in the NFL is a short term job, unless you are Bill Belichick. For the money, and whatnot, it isn't worth it, when you are coaching at a place like Michigan.

yes, i know that but harbaugh doesnt strike me as a college guy though, he's in the mold of jimmy johson and wants to win on the highest level. I believe a guy with his ego is gonna get tired of begging 17 year olds to come play for him and will pull the trigger if an ideal situation comes open for him i.e. a team with a top level QB

You implying that Saban's ego is smaller, and that's why he is ok begging 17 year olds to play for him?

Saban is pushing 70 and already failed in the NFL, harbaugh is a few years removed from a super bowl appearance so he knows he can coach in the league at a high level. He and saban are at different points saban doesn't do any begging high school kids are lining up to play for him. I'm not saying harbaugh is gonna leave this off season but people are mistaken if they think he's a Bowden or Paterno type staying at a college gig 30 or 40 years he's too competitive for that he'll coach NFL again

Saban didn't "fail" in the NFL. He was mediocre for two seasons and then he was offered a better situation and went back to college.

More to his liking, not necessarily better. He has a Napoleon complex. He's a God in a college town where in a large city like Miami he was going to be under a microscope.

The Rams management and ownership are a bunch of dolts. They will try to make a big name hiring splash to get instant LA media coverage rather than do something smart like the Fins hiring an up and coming Adam Gase. They are trying to lure Pete Carroll (not going to happen), Harbaugh (not going to happen), and I'd go out on a limb and say they will offer Saban 10 Plus million a year with final say on personnel decisions. Napoleon complex means he will not be content with being emperor of Elba. He has mastered college football, there is no doubt about that. If he wins another championship this year, he'll have nothing left to prove in college football. It's like Jordan winning a seventh ring. The convo about his legacy is basically unchanged. Saban needs validation from the world, and no better place to "show his superiority" than LA.

He went 9-7 and then 6-10, coming in last in his division. Not sure what else you'd call that.
