is signing two more DB's a must? Aside from Campbell and Surtain, which I don't want to debate whether they are coming or not, who else is in the mix to sign in two weeks?

Adding Campbell and/or Surtain was always of the utmost importance to this class. They're desperately needed and always were. The awful news about Young will merely prevent some from downplaying the significance of winning those battles now.

Bethel's the only other CB on the radar and he's clearly a developmental project and likely redshirt candidate wherever he ends up.

Juco or Grad Transfer market ?

For what?
We have 3 guys in this class listed as cbs(some may move to safety if Campbell somehow comes)
Even if so

Dean
Jackson
Bandy
Returns

3 guys
Frierson
Ivey
Blades
Campbell/surtain* if they come

With the terrible news about Young, we now have only 3 returning CBs on the roster. Two of them are seniors in Jackson & Dean.

Campbell & Surtain are as important to the program as any recruits in recent memory. Winning those battles would be enormous, so hopefully we're able to make it happen.

Surtain and Campbell will start on our boundaries next year.

Campbell wanna relate to the players? I'd have Malek sit down with both him and Surtain and have a heart to heart about their importance to the program!

I just hope it's OURS.

Agree. We need them both. Thats elite recruiting. Until we have elite recruiting, the results will be the same.

I'm warming up to the idea of Bethel being in this class. Prefer he get red-shirted so he can focus on learning technique; but he is a nice athlete.

Good chance Bethel is in this class.

A plan C kid who was dropped by the Gators. As the late Jim Mandich would say “not the type of prospect that tickles your toes”. Divaad Wilson, much better better than Bethel and was not even offered.

Miami has Bethel rated higher than Wilson on their board.

Thanks for the info Pete, not trying to take frustrations on you. But you reported that Bethel tried to commit to us and we did not take his commitment...he then committed to Randy only to be dropped by Mullen. This was the year to set ourselves up in the DB positing for the future. We got some good kids, but the failures stink all the way to Georgia. Also, after seeing our current DBs having no basic fundamental skills, like looking back to locate the ball to better defend/intercept, my confidence in anything Coach Rumph related is very thin.
