he was headed to miami, even had his announcement video already filmed. it was that last visit from Maryland's coaches that got him to stay. maybe miami can work some of the same magic here.

Georgia is the hot team right now. I’d be estactic if the Canes land Campbell and also shocked. Majority of kids are followers very few want to supply their own wave a la Lingard. Smart is definitely pumping being a day 1 starter and being a national title contender and obviously dropping bags. Richt isn’t guaranteed kids day 1 jobs nor should he. We lost 3 straight and got washed in the conf title game. If kids aren’t ride or die canes fans and won’t to put on for their city than why would they come?

UGA right now is the **** pic b/c TC talked about them. I highly doubt Bama is even a player for TC; Surtain, maybe, but not TC. UGA is a **** program right now. Personally, I think after today, we’ll see it’s smoke and mirrors like UF was when Muschamp took over. However, there’s no denying that UGA is a **** program, currently. With that being said, there’s a couple of things we need to adhere to from what TC said:

1. He wants to make sure he does his due diligence to ensure the school he chooses is a place where he can be for the next 3-4 yrs
2. He wants to see how he vibes around the other teammates to see how he gets along w them, family atmosphere

There’s a couple of things working in our favor that can’t be overstated:

1. Playing time, depth chart
2. Rumph’s relationship w TC, in particular
3. Silvera

Just remember, several months ago, 1/3 of 247’s “well connected” staff had him pegged to OSU. Why? B/c TC talked about OSU and OSU was/is a **** school.

Staff always felt comfortable w TC even when 1/3 of 247 said he was all OSU. Then all of sudden, Miami surges. Now it’s swung to UGA’s favor b/c TC has spoken positive about UGA. Honestly, he should speak glowingly about UGA. They are in the CFP, and K Smart has done a good job in his 2nd yr.

Keep in mind, too, that no one even knew he would be at the ND game. It took a random pic to see him there. All his interviews regarding Miami have been “yeah, I’ll see if I can get there” or “yeah, I’m not sure if I’ll make it.” Yet, he’s spotted throwing up the U, randomly; wearing a U wrist band while playing, randomly (shout out to [MENTION=1165]Dwinstitles[/MENTION] for his bird eye view on that one); shows up to the ND game, randomly, and has an in home, randomly.

Staff felt comfortable w him, and if he shows up on the 26th, then we know he’s been playing his affinity for the U real close to the best. If he doesn’t show up, then absolutely blame Rumph and the staff for blowing this.

I’m not here w sunshine thoughts; I’m just reminding you of what these so called experts have predicted based upon interviews and how staffs of rival schools felt. In reality, no one really knows. It’s not like he’s Jobe who changed his background and said I will 120% flip. Lol. Let’s just wait until the visits play out. If we’re his last visit b4 NSD and Richt uses his in home w him, it could very well mean that TC really did do his due diligence in checking out the other schools before choosing us. 01/26 tells us everything, not crystal balls.

UGA hasn't been the main competition his whole recruitment. First it was Clemson, then it was tOSU, now it's UGA. It's obvious the kid just doesn't want to stay home. People have just been slow to accept that. For at least a year, he has never given one single indication that he really wants to be at Miami.

To be fair he hasn't given any indication in any direction.

Thats what I'm thinking too. Has that visit actually been scheduled though? A few people claim the AH 4 are all visiting then. But I cant find anything that confirming it. Like you, I hope we work the magic, but McFarland's case demonstrates just how worthless those tea leaves the crystal ballers read are. That kid recorded a dopey video and had his mind made up, and changed his mind. A video is as concrete a hint as they will get, and it led to the wrong guesses. So anyone basing their CBs off Campbell's comments are even more likely to be wrong as little info as the young man is letting out.
