Wiltfong On Campbell

Regarding Campbell at this point it has nothing to do with the coaches, they have busted their *** recruiting this kid. It’s on him to choose Miami or any other school but you cannot accuse the coaches not doing their due diligence

Exactly. What the **** more can you say at this point? You either want to come or you don't.

How do you guys know our coaches have done everything they should have done recruiting Campbell? We’re you there for all of it? Do you know how good we have done selling UM to him compared to the other schools recruiting him?

In a situation like this, I consider this a huge loss.

Saying the staff did everything they could is crap. Especially when the main recruiter has known Campbell since he was a kid.

Well, I don’t pay much attention to crystal balls, but Wiltfong was the one guy I was paying attention to in that respect. I don’t see much changing on an OV considering he’s already been to campus 9 times, so it looks like he’s gone.

No sugar coating this, it’s a huge recruiting failure. Sucks

He aint committed no where.

Thank you, captain obvious. However, Wiltfong is the most connected guy at 247. There’s still a month left, but when he makes a pick this late in the cycle, he is almost never wrong. It sounds like Tyson has basically told them he’s more than likely coming if you read the article. Not sure I’m buying the part about Bama being ahead of us, but second place wouldn’t matter anyway if Wiltfong is right.

His crystal ball is for sure more noteworthy than the other ones that came in but man it would really suck to lose him... smh, and based on that piece of info he thinks Miami is running pretty much 3rd?

this is as much on richt as it is on rumph. this kid is going to georgia for kirby smart as much as anything there.

Kirby is a defensive coach so not fair to say that. Richt is locking up the offense so he is doing his job! This is on Diaz and Rumph. Tyson has stated he feels comfortable with Kirby and the defensive staff cause they have a proven track record of putting kids in the league. This is unfortunately something we have to battle until Rumph has a better resume along with Diaz.

I just Have concerns with the whole thing, Tyson has mentioned that he’s close to Rumph obviously but in an interview last week he listed 3 coaches from uga who he has a good relationship with (kirby, Tucker, Coley) while only mentioning Rumph for Miami. Are Diaz, Banda , richt pulling their weight here?

uga insiders are saying they've conceded the ITS battle to TAMU and USC, so they've begun to go all out for Ty and that might be whats triggering the CBs

A lot of us kept saying he hadn't really visited Georgia. So now the comment he made about knowing where he wanted to go, but needing to take visits to be sure, makes more sense. Georgia was that school and he needed to visit there to be sure of it. Lets just hope he's still going to visit Miami later this month with Nesta.

I guess we'll know for sure if he still OV or if he cancels. At this point he knows where he wants to go just hope going forward the local stars in south florida look at UM like they do oos schools.

Of course if they dont get him its a loss. Nobody is trying to say its not.

We will find out either way what he says coming back off this visit but they are quick to discount Miami in recruitments like this, remember that...

I’ve been saying this from the get go and even got banded for trolling, but it’s been obvious from the get go that TC is one of those kids that has just been looking for any reason at all to go anywhere but Miami. Outside of his cousin and Pete saying Miami was the leader, there has been absolutely zero indication that Campbell was high on Miami or that Miami was even really in this. It is what it is.

If we can’t land either of TC or PS2, that’s a clear indication that Rumph just doesn’t have the recruiting chops we hoped he’d have, but other than that, I’m not getting bent out of shape over a couple of CBs. Far more important positions to be worried about during this building process.

Wiltfong doesn’t even think he’ll visit Miami. That’s all I need to know. He’s making his decision after we visiting Georgia and Alabama apparently. If the staff can’t even convince him to take on of his 3 other visits there’s a huge problem

What more is it to sell? He knows he can play right away at miami because he mentioned it in a interview. He talked about how richt has the program going in the right direction. He has spoke about about how his family could watch him play. He has talked about his relationship with rumph. So what more is it?

You don’t know what was being sold and how it was being sold and what other schools were selling and how they were selling it. All I’m saying here is you have no idea, so you can’t claim we did all we could do.

We will see how this ends, but if we don’t sign this guy given all the advantages in our favor, then we did a **** job.
