The same thing needs to be posted over and over again? Are some of you too stupid to actually check the board? Guess what your aren't the only dumbarse to think of this topic and they're is already a discussion on it. Oh yeah use the search funtion. It will help you from looking dumb.

My bad. I am actually a brand new poster and not a new username. I never searched back to old threads.

Good to know we can almost take it for granted the team will not pull a Shannon ( 2008 VT, Clemson, UNC, 2009 OSU*, FSU, VT, UVA) where the team doesn't even show/quits in the first quarter, with a HC with eyes the size of grapefruit just standing there like a deer with a laser sight pointed at him)

I truly believe Golden wants this game as bad as we want it, and is doing something about it.

Best chance in over 10 years to win a big game, I say.

(Unless Coley and Dorito are as bad as we think) :O

I like what the guy has been doing. I think the team will play hard, and I give us a good chance to beat the Gator. We get up on them and the crowd gets into it, who knows, the Gator could fold like a cheap circus tent.

One of these days, "But...but....but we can still win the Coastal" will NOT be the post game eulogy..

We are WAY overdue. WAY overdue.

Canes will give a spirited effort. No doubt about it. These type of matchups are among the most fascinating in sports, when the flashier team with the weaker chin is at home. Sometimes they are slowly outmuscled and it can be quite demoralizing, but a considerable percentage of the time they can mask weaknesses via home field and sheer energy level. On the road I think we'd be exposed in this game. At home there's a legit chance. I only wish it were named the Orange Bowl.

The Canes have shown up in big games.

They were ready to play in every game so far, IMO. Dorsett dropped two TD in the first posession against ND last year, and the Canes were in the game in the 3rd qtr despite AWFUL QB play.

Same with FSU. In the game, Morris couldn't make a play to save his life, we got worn down in the 2nd half.

KSU, D was awful, but our 3 and out offense contributed greatly. (Do something besides 3 and out, and let the D regroup, anything!)

We were on the field, prepared, and ready to play in all games of Golden's tenure. Dorito's D was awful (his fault and/or depth, talent, experience, remains to be seen), but against the good opponents, one constant was bad QB play.

Morris NEEDS to step up against good opponents. He may be the Daddy to NCSU and GT, but that doesn't count for much, does it?

Yeah, Morris needs to get his **** together. He's a senior for cryin' out loud!!!!! I think he needs to be patient this Saturday and take what the defense gives him..... Instead of trying to go for the home run in an effort to match the ore season hype :/ also, this line has GOT to play to their potential this Saturday for us to have any type of chance at winning....

No defensive coach in the country could have done a better job with the Canes D in 2012. No talent, no depth, no experience and constant interruption of suspensions. Perfect storm of awfulness.

im getting more and more confident that miami is gonna beat the gators. i think we can stop there offense and our offense is to explosive to be contained

Miami needs this game as much as Clemson needed the win against Georgia.

People can get tired of the same old analysis all they want but it's simple....

It's going to be Miami's Duke-Heavy Offense v. Florida's Very Good Defense & Miami's Rebuilt Defense v. Florida's Shaky Offense.
If players come out flat like they did against FAU, especially our receivers, Miami is toast. We will have to score touchdowns to win this game, drops in the redzone could easily be a dagger.

Same thing for the defense, if our players allow Florida's OL to open up gigantic holes, there's nothing weaklings like Rodgers and Hightower will be able to do to stop RBs Jones and Brown.

Just like VT-Alabama, UNC-SCar, and Clem-Georgia, expect this SEC team to be ready for the moment in terms of energy level and execution. A debacle on Special Teams can easily put us in a position where Miami is in a hole it can't dig itself out of.

Special Teams and PHYSICAL LINEBACKER & SECONDARY PLAY will be what decides who wins this game and who doesn't.

If all the players could play with as much speed, energy and physicality as Figueroa on Defense and Duke on Offense I wouldn't be worried, but I suspect Coley and Dorsett will drop more balls, there will be major dropoffs between Duke and the other RBs, there will be chunk yardage due to arm-tackling and that it will take until the 2nd Quarter for our team to get settled and comfortable playing in a sold-out stadium.

If Miami wins this game, it will be due to Duke, Morris, Edwards (big back, major game for a NY kid in the South), Perryman and Figueroa. Gilbert, AQM and Porter will be the names you hear the most.

Our liabilities will be the young receivers Coley & Dorsett and the safeties Rogers and Hightower. This is the game, we don't get too many of these, that Al Golden needs to rely on his GAMERS to make plays and stay away from the depth chart. Regardless of the fact that Lewis is coming back from nursing an injury, we are going to need that kid.

Final Score: Miami 41- Florida 35
