Will the Canes finally show up in a big game under Golden?

I feel the team has the potential to win this game coming up. However, I am a little skeptical about the team showing up because we haven't in a big game in a few years. I will be disappointed if we lose, but I will be content if even we play a close loss to the GAYtors.

I'm tired of GatorsButtF@g's schtick on this board. It's tired and weak.

When people read these thread titles they have a choice to either click on it or pass. If you don't like a certain topic simply go on to the next. This **** belief that the board should cater or be ran a certain way is childish, ignorant and selfish.

These same questions have been asked about most every coach in the ncaa. With new people joining daily certain topics are going to be brought more than once. Alot of people choose not to live on these boards so they may not know if a certain topic has already been discussed.

I for one think a legit topic since Golden has never won a so called big game in his whole career. maybe this will change saturday. had Golden won big games here or before he came here you probably wouldn't see such a question. Don't blame the poster balme golden.

This is what happens when you lose for years and years, we were a swagged out bunch. Now the fans are skeptical and rightfully so, it didnt need another thread though.

This. I'm as skeptical as they come regarding the team, the defense mostly, and can't stand when people say "Have faith in...." How can I have faith if I haven't seen signs of improvement? When we can go out and beat our rivals, start winning more than 7 games, start appearing in NC/bowl games, D shows up, etc. then I'll have faith.

The only problem i have is Golden letting the team give up.. Even the ND players said that we just gave up at the end...

This game will tell us everything we need to know about Golden. This game is the classic coach's game. When talent is pretty much a wash, and strength being on strength ( UM offense/UF defense) and weakness on weakness (UF offense/UM defense), it all comes down to coaching. Now, I believe our offensive talent is a tad bit better than their defensive talent. I also think our defense has improved enough that it should be able to contain UF's offense enough to win. (Based largely on the fact that our defense "appears" to be better and UF's offense looks about the same as last year). I also want to add that our special teams appear to be better also ( when is the last time we booted kick offs outta the endzone?!?!). Will Golden get out coached again in a big game? Come on, Al. This is your "hello" to the world. Don't you fcking let us down!!!

We played three GREAT teams last year..

ND, KSU and FSU

Vt was a bad team last year

all three teams played in BCS bowls and all three had heisman guys and 2 were on the road...

we lacked players and depth yet hung with FSU..until guess what Depth kicked in

No less the amount of first rounders we faced...

Golden when he has a legit top15 team in talent and depth will coach with the best of them..

Coach Golden put dorsett in the position to catch those balls last year with ND...who dropped them

coach Golden did nit fumble the ball at KSU or FSU..

or last week....perryman late hits, Dorsett horrible routes or Morris not thinking like a senior....

The issue I have in any games is short yardage...

We suck at 3 and 1...we come intight and have 17 guys at 300 lbs each in a pile...we need to change our 3rd and short strategies spread the field use our speed...

None of those teams were great, good solid teams, yes, but far from great.

Agree. None of those teams were great. 1986 Miami was a great team. Winning double digit games within itself does not make you great.
