Rome was the best WR in CFB this year. It's insane that MHjr won the Biletnikoff over him. Would I draft MHjr over Rome? Yes. But for the 2023 season, Rome was a better WR.

MHjr was right there. He only played in 12 games and stat wise was similar per game while playing with an inferior QB.

i don’t think OSU will fight that hard for him if we really want him we’ll get him. He’s not guaranteed a starting job there and I think their fanbase (meaning their NIL) is lukewarm on him, whereas Miami’s situation seems like a better fit for him objectively

If he really wanted to commit to OSU then why hasn’t he already?

This sounds similar to our situation with Ward a few weeks ago. Boosters/NIL people said he was in, announcement any day now... Hopefully it ends the same for them

Day loves Brown. He was actually very close to getting the nod over McCord. Not quite the passer but has wheels.

They go get Howard I don’t see Brown wanting to sit again and they aren’t going to get Howard for cheap to be depth. So that’s a slippery slope for them. Ideally you get brown for 2 years and then Nolan’s takes over he is develops.

Understood, but many also said Ward was a "done deal" to Miami.

I thought CIS had a standing position on silent commitments (ie a silent commitment is no commitment)

People in the program wanted Brown to show he could win the job from McCord, and I think Brown got hurt or something during the competition that led to McCord landing the starting gig.
