Will Howard to Ohio St

I bet Howard is ****ed. he's 3 passes away in a blow out game vs Kansas in 2021 from having 2 years eligibility left, instead just 1

He has no reason to go to fsu tbh. Yea they had a good year but all those guys are gone. He wouldn’t even know who he would be playing with
 
Scenario 1: We get Ward.
Scenario 2: We get Howard and Ward ends up somewhere other than f$u
Scenario 3: We get Howard and Ward ends up at f$u.
Scenario 4: We don’t get Howard (he gets pi-ss-ed because we refuse to unconditionally accept his commitment) and Ward ends up at f$u.

How do we play this so that Scenarios 3 and 4 do not happen?

He does have plenty of reasons, let’s not be naïve here just because we wish FSU nothing but eternal pain and suffering.

Norvell has a very good track record developing QBs and they’re all ****y throwing money around trying to make a statement to the CFP world snubbing them. I’m sure just like us, they’re trying to bring in elite pass-catchers in the portal. After all, this is normally how they build their roster.

Now with that said, George and Restrepo is better than anything they have coming back (or if we get new weapons in addition/replacements) + the superior OL and potentially, superior NIL deal. And a connection to Dawson + living in Miami, which by all accounts I’m sure he’d enjoy.

You do scenario 2. You can get the pulse of both recruitments while Howard is on campus. If you get the sense Ward won’t commit on the spot but Howard is you just take Howard’s.
 
I like ward and would prefer him on talent, but I agree that will may be a better fit.

You cannot risk losing Howard over ward in my opinion.

And those talking about him going to fsu. Lol we played them close with a backup this year. Don't give a flying **** who goes to fsu. We will out recruit them in the trenches.

Who has he developed? Honestly asking, Travis is a super senior who’s probably going day 3 at best. Maybe Paxton Lynch but he was an abomination.

How does that ensure that Ward doesn’t end up at FSPoo?

Let’s say Howard calls the coaches and commits tomorrow night after thinking about the offer for a day. Miami coaches are still on Day 1 of the Ward visit.

Do you say “we’ll get back to you” and risk Howard saying I’m going to USC or Ohio State. Do you say “yes” knowing that Ward then heads up to Tally to potentially play for the Holes?

I think we need all the guys here who are juggling multiple girlfriends to take the lead on this.

Which one gives you the best chance to get Smith and not hurt you - meaning I don’t believe Howard is a target for FSU as of now.

To me, Ward is the better QB, gives you the best chance to get Smith and he then won’t be at your rival.

I love Howard more than Cam but the extra variables makes it an easy decision for me:

Cam Ward - QB1 - Option 1
