I keep going back and forth, would be happy with either

but howard truly may be the better fit and more of what we need.

he's a better runner, specifically in short yardage and he's typically safer with the ball (at least less catastrophic meltdowns)- so pretty much the exact opposite of TVD

Ball security and the running element are two things that I think take our offense up a click or two.

Ward definitely is flashier with the passing but either way you can’t go wrong I think both get us 10wins

what if howard wants to commit today?
 
Does anyone know why Ward had video game amount of fumbles? Was it mostly blindside hits cuz his OL sux or does he just lose the ball alot?
 
I still don’t want Ward at FSU even if we get Howard, but we’re not at liberty to decide that. Regardless, if Ward waffles, lock Howard up and let’s move on to other positions of need. He’s more than good enough to win 9 games, maybe 10.

cam ward is a valuable portal addition for good reason

but imo, he has very poor pocket awareness. yes his OL was bad, but he also had a lot of self inflicted sacks / strip sacks. That may be negated with our OL, but who knows

I watched several condensed wazzu games and suggest others do the same

Yeah, agreed. To me Howard is the better fit. I ain't going to ***** about either one comin though for real.

If he wants to be UGA - Michigan he needs a QB like Ward.

Howard is a better fit. No doubt. The reason many of us (me included) prefer Ward is that it comes with the somewhat unreasonable expectation that Mario/Dawson will open things up on offense and, to a lesser extent, Ward’s commitment might secure the services of his WR teammate and J. Smith.
