Will Al Golden Fire D'Nofrio after this season?

We were worse defensively against the ACC this year than last year. If Al is going to continue down this path of proven failure, hes going to have a rude awakening next year when the media/boosters/fans are all on his ***.

I hate bashing anything Canes, but I haven't disliked a UM coach as bad as Dorito since Nix, and I thought it was impossible to be worse than Nix, but Dorito has done did it.

Hey now, you can win games with bad defense but its really hard to win with putrid offense.

how times have changed..... Offense looks bad, but you win with Defense of the last 50 years is going to straight crap in recent times for sure.

Pretty sure Jethro Franklin will be the sacrificial lamb. Should be a pretty big improvement in both coaching and recruiting, though (no matter who is brought in as his replacement). Are there any South Florida high school coaches looking to make the jump to college with a D-line background?

Mike London is our next DL coach if Doh'nofrio is retained IMHO

Maybe I'm just being optimistic, but I don't think he's here next year. It's clearly not helping his career or Golden's. Don't forget he was supposedly top 2 to get the job at Temple last year. You've got to think being Al's BFF, he started looking elsewhere not wanting to ruin his buddy's career. They tried to make it work one more year and failed miserably. And don't fall for the bs they feed to the media. He can't just come out and say he's a bs excuse for a DC. He has to sell other teams on his "success" at Temple, and that Miami was just a bad fit. DORITO searches high and low, and lands at a smaller school. No matter what Al is telling him, he knows dam well their both screwed next year when it doesn't work. I just hope Al is humble enough to flush his whole defensive philosophy down the toilet. Go back to the 4-3, forget the soft zone, and simplify things to allow your players to play fast. If he doesn't understand that by now, it doesn't matter if Doritos is gone or not. If that's the case, then Al is the problem and both of their asses last no longer then 2 years.

I want him gone more than anyone. But I can't help but think with some of the JAGs we are graduating this year(Highsmith/Rodgers/Cain/Cornelius), we are going to improve by just removing some of these guys out of the equation. What pains me is our LBs always take the wrong gaps when trying to stop the run. Is that coaching or do our LBs just not have what it takes? Also, D'Onofrio has no creativity. You can tell every **** play where the blitz is coming from. On top of that, we run these late developing blitzes that take forever just to get near the QB. I really hope he fires him, but I also think regardless we will improve either way by removing some of the dead weight and bringing in more talent.
