I`ve watched the FAU game a couple of times. It was pretty much what I expected for a first game. The major problem I took away from the game was the inability of our wide receivers to get separation on a week secondary. The Gators secondary will eat our lunch if we play the same. Just my opinion.

We saw different things. Also saw Coley wide open drop two TDs. That is separation, just lack of execution.

Agreed. There were spots, there were also times where they dropped back and also bracketed receivers to force us to go underneath or to run. I'm not worried about our WR ability to get separation just yet.

Friday's game wasn't at all what I expected. I thought we were at least going to get 50. 32-6 is good versus a team from a power conference but is pretty crappy playing a lower teir Sunbelt team.

3 dropped TDs in the first quarter and a 4th quarter TD that was not reviewed out of sportsmanship gets us to 62. How about that?
Does that make you feel better?

Psychologically, the most fascinating thing about it diehard troll is that you're much closer to actually being a fan of the team you're trying to undermine then you do representing your own team. 32 to 6? You can't possibly care deeply about Miami and **** as much as you do, and yet get that wrong.

That's because Coley is a beast and best WR we have had here in terms of talent since Dre. I have felt this for a while but I feel that our WRs while adequate, are severely over rated by our fan base. IMHO our most talented guys are all young in Coley, Malcolm and Herb. Herb has been a great surprise, I expected him to be a player for us but not this early and this good. The problem with Coley is that this is his second game and Malcolm suffered that terrible injury last year.

The other guys are meh to me. Hurns is a solid guy but a mere possession guy who doesn't even look like he overpowers any DBs. Dorsett at this point is a one trick pony, albeit he is good at that one trick. The thing is against better DBs he gets shut down cause all they have to do is protect against the long ball. His change if direction isn't that good and he struggles against good DBs. Scott, yeah he will make that tough catch but drop two easy ones. They are all solid players, but from what you read on here nowhere near what they are talked up to be.

Seriously, what game were you guys watching? The score should have/would have much been greater if mentioned above happened.

I made a typo. Seriously were you at all excited or pleased with that performance? I guess the last 5-7 years is making me impatient. I at least hoped we would be annilating bottom of the barrel Sun Belt teams by now. I'm sorry if shootouts versus teams like NC. State and GT don't appeal to me as fan. The team as of last year still struggles in 80 percent of games versus unranked opponents, whether we win or lose. As of now I know the team isn't Alabama, but we should be smacking teams like Virginia by now, at least by two TDs on a much more consistent basis.

If the team starts showing up in big games, doesn't necessarily have to win them and starts beating all the teams we should, my tune will be a lot different. Some fans, not saying you, will always make excuses. It is time for the Canes to sack the **** up this year, No More Excuses!

First game of the season. Not showing full offensive playbook given the opponent and the next week's opponent. Two dropped touchdowns on offense (one on defense). Duke sitting by the third quarter. Over 500 yards of offense. But you're whining because we didn't score 50. Some "fans".

Passing game was very unimpressive Friday. Did not care for those LOS passes. We don't seem to be any better at executing them than we are defending them. They work against our D last two years becasue we line up about 100 yards off the WR. FAU seemed to have 2 or 3 guys on each of our WRs. Very impressed with their defensive coaches. Coley is a different animal -- I don't think he can be covered. He will take the top off the swamp scum. If Oline protect Morris, I think Coley will get huge gains and maybe long TD early. That should left the safties off the run and give Duke some breathing space. If he gets it going then the other dbs will be watching for #8 and the rest of our WR should come open. If we stay with that LOS crap, their corners will eat it alive. We will need Oline to be what it is supposed to be and our big players to play big--Duke and Coley will be the difference on offense or we lose. We need Coley to remind us of Playmaker. I think he is the key to this game.

Omg here we go with the one game overreaction. Before the game we had the best wrs in the nation. Now they are overrated and Dorsett is a one trick pony. Wtf do you think Santana Moss was? Just enjoy our wrs and relax. This is the best collection of talent we've had at wr in 10+ seasons. Most if not all of these guys will play in the NFL. Relax!
