When did Robinson look interested? ... We need 2 high quality guys besides Dallas and Evidence. Should be casting our net wide at this point.

Agree with you though gogeta, Idk why this staff wasn't high on Carmoni Green, but he's been balling since BTW & Central...
He's a big 6'1 190lbs runs a 4.6 & has good hands, he was a take imo but the staff was never on him & he just reaffirmed his commitment to Illinois... But UNC was trying late to flip him.

I would also look at : Leroy Henley (Deerfield), Sharrad Johnson (BTW), and Carmoni Green who i always liked.

That 4.61 of C. Green Nike laser 40 is pretty fast considering man true HS sprinters do not fare all that well there and often 30-35% of the players elect not to run the 40.

I dont have any inside info but Robinson goes to Lakeland High. That school is all Gator. That pretty much parallels the entire city and Polk county for that matter. Its Gator territory for the most part with some Noles.
 
These HS players do not go to special costly camps like the pros do before the Indy and other NFL regional combines for weeks at a time to learn how to run a 40 for the best time, 3-cone brill, etc.

Pouncey running a 4.6 at 6'2 is blazing fast for high school. Once he gets man strength he'll be a 4.4 guy easy. Those are similar numbers to Richards coming out. Add in his awesome vert and this kid could be STUD. Dugans needs to trade his Donk for an RV and park outside this kids door.

I think we take two more WRs and, as others have mentioned, there are still plenty of quality ones out there....

As for the OP, yeah, those look like some good ones - but we'll probably find some new names on the board between now and signing day...

Lots of time left in recruiting season and with a fairly dominant win over a ranked team, that can only help us down the stretch - especially with a few of our receivers looking good in the game (Richards, Coley, Berrios)...

On a side note, it was great to see Lewis get a TD in his final game - and a bowl game. I just don't know if he was ever the same after that horrible ankle injury in his freshman year.....

That's a decent time for Pouncey in the 40....

He's not a burner, but he's definitely not slow.

I think we'll get a commit from him within the week and that'll be a solid take for us.

I don't know if his offer list on the recruiting sites is legit, but he's listing offers from almost everyone - impressive if it's half true....

If Pouncey recorded that 4.6 forty at a Nike event he's very fast because the Nike forty numbers always seem slow. I think they clocked Bandy at 4.68, and he's very fast.

Pouncey's excellent vertical also shows how explosive he is as an athlete and how fast he really is. He's a big dude and is tough too. The guy played RB this year so you know he's not averse to contact.

If we get him I see it as falling into a lucky upgrade over Harley just like Folden did when he struck out on all those DTs and had to "settle" for Norton and Jenkins and McIntosh.

As much as I disliked Golden as the HC, he left us pretty well stocked at the DT position....

The people thinking HS kids run 4.3s need a reality check. There's a handful in the country that run 4.4 or better every year. And the majority of the handful weigh 170lbs or less. The only kid running in the 4.3s at the main Nike camp 2 years ago weighed 150lbs and was well under 6ft. He went to Oregon. Anyway, there's a handful of guys running 4.3s and a dozen 4.4s at the NFL combine. Anything under 4.7 at a Nike camp is very fast. Bandy looks fast on tape. Yet he ran a 4.68 at 5'9". To say Pouncey's numbers are decent is absurd. A 37.5 inch vert is explosive for the NFL. His measurables beat any WR in the state of FL this year. Juedy would have to run a low 4.5 40 to compare. If he was that fast he'd have run. Pouncey's #s are even better than Ridley's from 14. Gotta get this kid in orange and green.

People have been ruined by bs hand times over the years. Rare guys run 4.3's, very rare . Running a 4.5-4.6 electric time is very fast

Thanks for this reminder. I think many tend to forget Devin Hester and many, many others are 4.4 guys at the combine. People look at the wrong stuff and I don't get why. Short shuttles are unnecessarily downplayed. 10 yard splits for linemen are sometimes overlooked. Wingspans for DL. I guess that's why you still get guys completely missed on.

that's why a lot of the top kids down here won't even run the forty and you're going to start seeing more and more kids stop running. Why bother with it when it'll be used against you when you run a bad time similar to Scott and Dingle.
