Why did We Pass on Tutu Atwell Again?

I thought he wanted to play QB and Louisville told him to come play QB but when it was time to play QB they said go to WR

Also QB

I hate to say it BUT Miami has a lot of playmakers that IF u put them in other systems "would shine".. Tutu I consider a miss because this kid dominated at Northwestern and just that alone, the staff would've been on him.. Coaches like to use recruiting player's that fits their system (understandable) BUT when a kid shows out like this kid did, I'm sorry you have to find a way to make him work in your system.. UNFORTUNATELY, we see this happen too much here.. (just another example Zac Moss and Huntley)

You all really think we don't have players on our team who'd look fantastic in a similar situation? Sure, we're not good at projecting position changes (which is a lost art in the world of camps, early testing and position rankings), but our problems cut deeper into how we make our own players look.

When their is a kid dominating HS football in Dade and Broward county, against the top name schools, MIAMI has to be on top of that kid.. Regardless of size and position, get him signed then you deal with where he fits best.. A lot of super star talent leave Miami because they are considered undersized and end in the league!! Size should never be the problem for SoFla talent, IF the kid is performing and dominating F'his size SIGN HIM..

You could debatably have called a penalty or 2 on his one touchdown run against us, and other than that he did nothing.

Also, he isn't here so half the board spends all their time wanting what we don't have. I hope you guys don't look at your wives the same way.

y’all better stop before you get accused of not being a fan of a program that has consistently allowed ballas who wanted in not in and where highly rated players that everyone look like minimum play players on my sons team.
Who says he wanted in?

He was a QB in HS & our staff at the time wasn't smart enough to project him to WR.

We had no interest in him because it was a bad eval by Duggans & Brown.

Didn't he want to play QB and went to LVille b/c of Lamar Jackson?

we passed on him because he was 5-8 145 pounds coming out...he wanted to play QB, but knew he would eventually play WR... It wasnt a miss imo..if he was 5'11-6 ft.... pretty aure staff woulda went after him
