Why are so many down on Scott as a Wr commit?

Dingle reminds me of Brandon Marshall.

Not a burner but very strong and elite body control to shield off a defender for the catch.
Quick question...how does Kevaughn Dingle remind you of Brandon Marshall when he's 6'4 230 pounds AND runs a 4.5...Dingle is 6'1 185 and runs 4.89. A better comparison for him would probably be Keenan Allen

LMAO well Keenan Allen is 6'3" so what is your point???

LMAO well Keenan Allen is 6'2 so research before you comment

You miss the point. Single may be LISTED at 6'1" 195 but let's be real here. He's 6'0" 180-185... Terrible comparison either way.
he was measured at 6'1 185 at the rivals camp dude, Keenan was 6'2 190 out of high school...it isn't a terrible comparison at all, they play similarly as well

ATTENTION POSTERS, GOLDEN IS NO LONGER IN CHARGE!!!! Let this staff work..every receiver coming out of high school aint running a 4.3-4.4....thats why we have redshirts...sit him a year let him develop that speed running track or whatever and go from there...if we do take 4 or 5, only 2 maybe 3 will probably play and that is Jeudy, Dallas if they commit or Dingle ...those kids are college ready right now

Coach says we lack speed at the position, he doesn't show any. He also doesn't make anyone miss so there little to no yards after the catch.

He may have great hands, but unless you see him week to week, a highlight film won't tell you that. What kind of highlight would it be if they showed the drops?

As someone else said, the window in college football is slimmer. It's harder to get separation and if you do and he's some elite route runner, the gap he creates will close down that much quicker at this level.

He's got average size, doesn't make people miss when he's got an opportunity to do so, and isn't fast. Those three things combined with coach saying we need more speed at the position makes one question the offer.

Hurns played faster than this kid. Hurns could make people miss. I wouldn't compare the two other than their build.

Someone post his highlights plz. Also he hasnt even played his senior year. What if he develops a second gear? I know i got faster my sebior year after 3 yrs of full lifting and conditioning. Also another poster said he doesnt make people miss. There is a clip out there of him putting an insane move on a db and almost taking him out his cleats. So to me that remains to be seen. He's still developing into his body unless he's Calvin Ridley's age coming out of highschool.

Lol y'all really think dingle run a 4.9 lmao stop and why are some of y'all so high on Dallas ? And for the ppl that think you could come here and run a 4.8 get trained and run a 4.3 or 4.4 are crazy. That just means they didn't know how to run a 40 in the first place.

Dallas is timed at 4.6 and he can play RB, CB, and FS at a high level my dude, don't know why you're trying to compare the two.

height and weight aside, i don't think it is fair to compare players unless they have almost identical complexions.

oh ****, you're right my bad I forgot about that rule ben

Yep...

Anquan Boldin and Peter Warrick are two of the best WRs from FSU and neither was a burner....

Boldin may be their best WR ever, or not, but he's the one who sticks in my mind the most....

And Irvin wasn't exactly fast either, but like Boldin (FSU's Irvin, really) he was very strong for his size and a super hard worker....

On the other hand, we better not make a habit of taking slowish WRs....

When I think of Miami receivers I think of speed - Andre Johnson, Kevin Williams, Moss, etc....(though Reggie Wayne wasn't the fastest, either)....

Dingle had an average of 20 ypc in Dade county. That's called being explosive and a playmaker. Sometimes a 40 isn't all that matters if you can't apply it to your on-field play.

As for Scott, I haven't kept up with him or watched much on him. The 40 is concerning, but there are other ways to make plays and if he excels at that then good for him.
Johnson was a mid burner at 4.5/4.6 , Reggie could go sub 4.4's when he needed to..His way of lulling db's to sleep,,Worked pretty good in the NFL also..

This Rivals camp? Pic of Kemore Gamble, the tweet I took this from said 6'4" 218...umm I'd say 6'2" without the hair...

Besides, point is, kid is in effing hs (not even a SR yet), but people want to always say oh he plays like this guy or this guy. No, no he doesn't. He plays like Kevaughn Dingle. No two players are alike and most are never even similar to what people compare them to be.

What astounds me further is that people get on my nuts about a thread I made jokingly about Shaq staying 4 years, yet are so quick to anoint these KIDS as similar to NFL star X...

There are probably at least 20 WRs down here this cycle that are more explosive than Scott.

The reason people are so down on Scott is because he runs a 4.9 weighing in around 165. Putting on more weight may make him even slower. I think the kid is talented but there are just better options out there. Why try to develop a kids speed when he gets on campus when you can already recruit a kid who has speed. Our main philosophy should be to bring in the best players at that particular position. I think Scott's committed to seal a spot in the class cause other programs was losing interest, I actually posted this same thing two weeks prior to him committing that other schools were not showing interest anymore. Dingle is a lot better than Scott and so is Leroy Henley who is bigger and faster than Scott and runs better routes.

Looks like to me we have our Possession Receivers committed in Dingle n Scott... now i see we are more after speed guys ( Smith, Dallas, Harley).... Jeudy is all everything. .no specific category
