You want to schedule some teams from Big 10,because 1.all are very beatable most years2.They
have many fans who live down here in fl.3.To the Big 10 players, playing in Fl.in Nov.is a big deal.
4.They like to play us because they recruit down here.If we kick the crap out of them.it's
a bonus for the U. 5.The U is a huge draw for them in a home game.

1. Rutgers in MetLife Stadium. Would help recruiting in the area (Bosco, Bergen Catholic, St. Joes, etc.), also we have a large alumni base in the area.
2. USC. Only makes sense, 2 big private schools with history, would be interesting to see
3. Georgia- Borderstate with a Cane at HC, would be legit competition.

I like the yaerly formula of 1 Big Top-25 BCS school game, 1 game against a bcs school whos team may be decent, 1 vs. someone in the AAC, MAC, etc. and then 1 vs. a Florida team.

Northwestern would make a good lower-level opponent, plus flying to Chicago is easy and Chi-town is fun

Agreed. The biggest drawback to dropping subdivision teams is the fact that all the other other matchups are pretty much guaranteed to be home-home series, whereas the subdivision teams add another home game. 7 home games is nice but how often can be play FAU? And I don't think anyone wants to add FIU ever again.

I'd like to reward our players. And I think traveling around the country, unlike the Gators, helps us in recruiting. So to accomplish both of these, I'd like to see us go to Louisiana (Tulane), Texas (Houston), California (San Diego State and Cal), and Pennsylvania (PSU). We're already going to Nebraska and ND, Syracuse and BC in the near future, so we can be a true national team, I want that!

Lets remember we turned down the chance to take on LSU. That got mixed reviews on this board. Some said it was because we were not ready. (Which I think those people feel like shooting themselves right about now) and some said it was because it wasnt a home-home i think. (I can dig that.) Either way, I felt we should have taken the challenge. Water under the bridge. I do agree that we have to stop scheduling these types of games. I was at the SSU game and it was probably the worst UM I have ever been to. (30 years and still going..) Horrible competition. I went back to the tailgate at halftime. Pointless.

Why even schedule these guys? I get that we cant schedule LSU, ALA, USC, MICH, and OSU as OOC foes every year but dang. Give the fans something to get amped for. That game was over in the first 3 minutes..there has to be a middle ground. JMO.

A neutral site game vs. LSU in Houston is like them playing a neutral site game in palm beach. Neither are neutral. No way. A home and home would be great though.

You got UF at home. That was your big OOC gift. What could be better? SS was supposed to be Memphis but they cancelled.

Forcing 6'6" 320 guys to sit on a plane for 7 hours before they play a gut wrenching football game is not rewarding them! Those west coast games are TARPS!
