USC is my alma mater but second favorite team behind the Canes. I became loyal based on those awesome Friday night games as a kid.
Otherwise it varies based on style. I love watching Stanford above any other team right now. My preference is run oriented physical football. Some spread teams like Oregon and Auburn hurry up and run the ball so I can respect and tolerate them even if it's not my top style to watch. Pass oriented teams like Washington State disgust me. That's why Stanford over Washington State was light years my favorite game of 2013. I still can't believe that spread was only -8.5.
For decades I cherished option teams because I won so many bets on them. The oddsmakers simply couldn't hang numbers that option teams couldn't destroy in the proper matchup. I always chuckle at fans who ridicule option teams. They obviously don't bet. I had one friend from Nebraska who moved back home from Las Vegas once the option teams all but disappeared. For years he didn't handicap anything. He simply tied the triple option teams together in round robins and parlays, cashing one ticket after another. I'll never forget that night when he showed up at my door and announced he was moving back home. He had read the preseason annuals and was shocked that so many of his pet teams had abandoned the option.
Georgia Tech has been very good to me but that's not a true triple option. They run it only a fraction of the time. The rocket toss is a ridiculous weak substitute.
I also like Boise State because I won a huge percentage of first half bets on them during their heyday. They were always incredibly well prepared under Petersen and the first half line was cupcakes.
