Who is your closet team?

Dem canes are my first team always no matter what.

After the canes I root for the U a lot

Third team is the university of Miami Florida. ........ those are my teams STUPID FACKING THREAD

Let's see, I went to FSU and my Girl went to UF.

My second team is whoever is playing FSU and whoever is playing UF on a given week. When they play each other I root for Terrorism.

Some for Stanford cause of that good old fashion "you know I am running it on you, and there ain't nothing you can do to stop it" mentality.

We come from all backgrounds and circumstances so just because someone also has a liking for another team doesn't make them any less a Canes fan. What if you were born in Tallahassee, grew up there, all of your family roots for the Noles and you did too until you had sense enough to move on? I think you would still have a spot somewhere for the Noles because that's your background that wasn't your choosing. I grew up in Jacksonville and the Gators rule there. I grew up hearing about them, having family and friends root for them and being exposed to the Florida-Georgia game every year. But then when I discovered The U, there was no more Gators for me. I have to admit I rooted for them when they played Ohio State for the championship because there wasn't no way I wanted the Bucknuts to win. I can't stand the Noles either but just because a Canes fan likes the Noles too doesn't make him any less of a Canes fan. The weakness and inability to understand and accept someone's different likes is disappointing.

I never understood the whole root for Florida teams nonsense. I always want them to lose unless them winning helps the canes look better when we kick their ***.

I root for Michigan since the play a bunch of teams I despise (nd, Ohio state, Iowa, Wisconsin, etc.). I root for Michigan state when the play Michigan, since I really don't like them either.

The way some of you guys keep giving a comment with a *** slant never ceases to amaze me. Seeing how **** and ****s are constantly on your mind and in your choice of allegory makes me think there are other closets you need to come out of.
 
I always pull for Tennessee, Ole Miss, TCU and Georgia when I have no other vested interest in the outcome

Also am a fan of Les Miles and Hatin *** Spurrier although I do not particularly care for LSU or South Carolina. Although LSU in their white jerseys under the lights is pretty ******* cool to watch.
 
Been Michigan for several years now. Wife and her family are huge fans and have season tickets. I have actually been to more Michigan games them Miami over the last 5 years.. smh.....

Well, I am starting to feel all warm and fuzzy seeing how you are one of my favorite posters.
 
USC. Mother is an alum and rooted for them as a little kid before moving to Miami.

I would say my "closet team" is Syracuse. Outside of the 'Cuse and the old Brooklyn Dodgers, I hate pretty much dislike any team from NY.

Yeah, I was a Brooklyn Dodger fan - mostly because the Dodgers trained in Miami when I was a kid. Everything else in NY I would gladly give to the Taliban. I hated the Yankees mostly because they were my stepdad's favorite team and a Dodger rival. Plus, anyone who wins all the time sucks.
 
Marshall. A bunch of my buddies went there and I used to go to the games in the 90s and got to see Moss, Pennington, Leftwich, etc.
