I would assume for a year protecting the person/company signing the player to the NIL. I would think an employer ,who the players NIL would be with ,would protect themselves from a player staying one year and then leave taking their deal with them while going somewhere else to get another one.

I’m no lawyer by any means but just using common sense that someone like Ruiz isn’t going to just let a kid leave and go elsewhere and still pay him Now I’m sure there are instances where a player might still be beneficial to a company while moving to another school but let’s be honest here this NIL stuff is just a way to legally pay a player to come play for a particular school.
