Which is why i HATE our admin and their whole sphiel to be a goody too shoes or to be about going by the books....

I mean when you have sec schools that CLEARLY buy players and have been caught for doing so looking down on Ruiz you know how the cake is baked

Not hard to manage once you reincorporate the 1 year sit out rule firmly again. This is the current effects of covid. If they incorporate back it will temper down a bit. Having them freely transferring aint the way....Unless its a HC change or legitimate family illness...for example look at Jackson for us leaving for FSU..

I don't think they're gonna do that. Toothpaste is already out of the tube. It wasn't Covid that started the transfer stuff, remember we were the poster boy for this when it really started to blow up (because of course we were, which is always ******* nonsense) with Tate Martell. That was in early 2019, well before Covid. If they really did go back to the way it used to be, that would help, you're right.

I guess where it gets tricky is the school isnt paying but i dont see why the business thats paying the NIL couldnt put a year number on a contract.

It has to be figured out or you will never be able to trust a player is staying.

Need to be incentivized. Year one X amount of $$$ and so on. Surely these kids aren’t getting big bags up front. That’s ludicrous.

I saw an interesting one the other day:

Before NIL took hold, can’t remember his **** name, but he said they would go into online poker rooms with a player and they would all dump money to them in a hand. Everyone would raise and then fold after the River and let the kid take down the pot.

I was like **** now that’s creative.
 
These kids got the same agents that the pros had for years that would leak “rumors” to get their clients more money.

So it could be true, and/or agent tryna run up that bag. 🤷🏾‍♂️

Jimbo has a real tough year but comment on NIL that now its over the table rather than under was solid gold. this give us a great shot in an NIL deal with most schools.... UF with Gator money as well as UGA, OSU tough but Bama really not that much NIL $$$ out there as they do not have a ton of well healed alums

Therein lies the issue. I said NEEDS to be incentivized. Otherwise there’s no incentive for a kid to stay put money wise.
