The fact that Al Golden's career balances on a coordinator should tell you that he's a ****** coach. The idea that he's done a satisfactory job here is pretty laughable. It's been a D+ performance.

who gives a fck? The guy can coach. Al Golden scares the **** outta me. I've ALWAYS been skeptical of the "guido" crew from Temple. Whether or not Onofrio is here over the summer will tell us all exactly what kind of guy Al Golden is...

I imagine Donna Shalala and Blake James give a ****. Don't have any inside info so I'm not going to say I'm 100% sure on that, but it seems logical that they'd shy away from a guy with baggage like Petrino.

There were no complaints about her or the work she was doing until after he crashed his motorbike. Jobs get created all the time to help alleviate the workload of supervisors. Did Petrino pay her out of his own pocket, or was she an employee of Arkansas? If she was an Arkansas employee, then someone above Petrino must have approved the hire and paid her check every week. If she was paid by Petrino, then he can hire whoever he wants to help him.

You want to talk about shtty hires/retentions that should draw peoples' ire? How about hiring your fat friend at $600k per year to produce historically bad results?

We need to keep Al. He does so much right that a HC needs to do. The glaring problem is that he seems to be all in on his passive defensive system that just does not appear to be working. We need him but we do not need to give up 500 yards every week. The defense looked good against UF and gave us false sense of progress. Now we know that the only thing worse in college football than Al's defense is Muschump's offense. Pride poes before the fall. Let's hope Al's brains can overcome his stuborn pride and save his career. I think we have the right guy, but he doesn't have the right defense--regardless of DC.
