Who bought NCAA 14?

It's more unpredictable, just like recruiting really is. I like it a lot. Now that I understand it.

You need to win, and upgrade your skills. Strategy is key when targeting and pursuing on this one. You will be rewarded for your diligence.

Again, NO MORE MINDLESS, REDUNDANT PHONE CALLS.

Unpredictable yes, but like in most cases when EA tries to fix something, they way over do it. You tell them its impossible to block kicks and they literally allow you to block every kick the next year LOL I won the title in my first year and lost the #1 player who I lead for all year to UAB during the offseason. Totally bull****. I didn't even finish in the top 50 in my first year and only landed two or three 4 star players. EA trying too **** hard.

I haven't had that happen to me at all. Losing recruits to inferior schools.

I don't look at stars when I recruit really. I look at their rating after scouting.

I only go after prospects that are interested in UM, and fit the bill as far as grades. The bonus points are another sticking point.

My first class was like 30th, next season #1. And this season, trending for another #1 class.

I understand the pitches and how you could sway and what not, but that never amounted much to me. Generally what the recruits liked, we were good at, minus facilities. Visits were simple, find his Most and two Very Highs, and put a hour in, and you would cruise to number one classes.

This time you have be selective and diligent or you will lose recruits to whoever. You can't just put in 60 minutes talk about your strengths, bash weakness and pull whoever you want. I liked the recruiting on the past games, but enjoy the challenge of this one.

The most important thing for recruiting is getting the coach skills up. Adding as many points and the Insta-committ are huge. In my first week I try to offer 10+ kids that have UM rated #1 on their list, and I'll get 2-4 depending on the year. While it's rarely the top guys committing, getting some in that I don't have to worry about later makes the 12-14 or so I focus on through the year look a lot better. After a few weeks you'll see who isn't getting recruited by anyone else and you can pull major points back, and you'll also see who no one else is recruiting nationally (there are always a handful of 5 star WRs and CBs getting totally ignored). Show even a little interest to those guys and they'll jump on board easy.

It's less time consuming than it's been in the past, and that makes the Dynasty as a whole more worthwhile. It's not as easy as it was say back in NCAA 2004 or anything, but it's got some tricks that make it not so bad.

Does anyone know how to unlock a recruit who has a Playing Style Dealbreaker? Or do you just have to have the Unlock a Recruit perk?

I think for the playing style deal breaker. You'll have to change your style that appeases his style. E.g A QB prospect may want to throw the ball a zillion times. So you'll have to change your offense to being more pass happy than run happy.

Mo you are spot on. Once you figure it out it's easier to do, not necessarily to get who you want. The challenge makes it a lot more rewarding. I enjoy the battles. I don't get everyone I want in a season, but a majority I do.

As far as deal breakers, trust me, there is a recruit without a deal breaker that will fit your bill. DBs won't consider you anyway. Move on to another prospect. Spinning your wheels. It's like AG going after Elijah Hood. Makes no sense.

This. If you have a Play Style DB and another team has an A+ rating it will put you so far behind in bonus points that if that team is maxing out points to that player you're going to get buried anyway.

That said, I did notice teams using that Lock Break coach skill to get massive point boosts here and there (but more because they were low on the list rather than having deal breakers too). Its not a bad idea later in the season to send feeler interest out to guys that have spots open in their top 8 in order to get on the list. Then, when they lock out everyone beyond the top three, use the lock break to bounce immediately up into the top 2 or so. Any time a school jumps up 2k points in a non-visit week its because they used the lock break skill.

does anyone have a good/current roster i can download for ps3? and the recruiting in this game is confusing as ****

I have also noticed that the teams that hop up, generally don't get a visit, because visits are set already. If you have a visit and you make the cut, you should be fine.
