Who are you most excited to watch make their Cane debut?

Gilbert or Kamalu. These are two guys that are much more important to our season than any of the freshmen. I want to see if Gilbert is really healthy or if his foot is still a problem. Kamalu is interesting cause we get him for two years and he desperately need an impact player at DE.

Pat O' Donnell....lol, no let me stop. I curious to see Augustus Edwards. Fans seem to love him but I personally don't get all of the hype. So I am curious to see what he can do.

"Quan" is not built yet to deal with 300 pound lineman with decent speed and hands yet. Give the kid a year

He's not ready to play every down this year.. but him being a one trick pony isn't all that bad. (all we need from him is a pass rush)

agreed for the most part (unsure how well he will put pressure-prob rather have Chickillo n Mccord etc)...why i'm most excited for Gilbert that can hopefully contribute in a big way. For the sophmores i'd say Tyriq Mccord this year; next year this time i'd prob say AQM.

Has to be AQM and Fig.
They may be freshmen, but they sure don't look like kids.
Nobody is going to confuse AQM with a freshman Hoilett.
They both look like beasts.

I'm very excited to see a lot of these guys but one guy that intrigues me is the Gus Bus. I, for the first time, watched his tape and he looks pretty impressive. Not quite sure about the level of competition he was facing but he looks like he's got some pretty good ability. He definitely needs to develop. One thing I noticed is that he tends to bounce outside a lot and that isn't going to cut it at this level given that he will be more of a power back. I do like his footwork though and am really interested to see if this guy can develop into a good complimentary back to Duke by mid season.

Beau Sandland for sure. While the defense needs more help, any one defensive player will only fill one of many holes. Sandland has a chance to be the last major piece to our offensive puzzle. The #1 juco TE in the country can really make our offense lethal. With Duke and the talent we have at receiver, our TE's may be overlooked by defenders. Not only will the TE's help the vertical passing game (by constantly exploiting underneath coverage), but they will also help the run game as the defense gets burned on play-actions.
