Which ACC coach would you guess said this about Diaz?

What is gimmicky about our defense, I'm not even sure defense can be gimmicky. We tackle well, hit hard, make plays in the backfield, and don't give up a lot of points. That's gimmicky?

Its a gimmick!!.....its throwing a left jab...while loading up for a right hook!! Its a dog n pony show.... Except our dogs bite and the pony kicks the **** out of you!!
Its a "gimmick" only because someone else, wishes his defense would play like ours!!

That sounds like some **** a salty butt hurt dude would say. If not PJ, then maybe Cutcliffe? You know that dude is still hurting from that 8 second painal a couple years ago.

Probably no one said it. I think today's writers are Lazy and just make things up to sound like they have " inside sources"

Bingo... You nailed it.

It was the saltiest Corch of them all, that ****** tub of lard ****cliffe.

No other Coach in the ACC hates us more than him, he's the only HC who would say something like that.

Even Jumbo would never be dumb enough to rattle our cage like that, Dabo has a great deal of respect for Richt & Fedora doesn't strike me as the type to talk like a Coordinator in reference to us.

This has Cliffe written all over it, that sobby lil bhitch still can't get over the Return lol.

Prior to last year Diaz was at best an above average DC at the d1 level. Any quantitative metric proved that and most on here were highly skeptical of the hire.

He finally found a place where he can recruit athletes with the mentality that fit his general style and it worked out in year one. It'll likely continue to work out because what he's proved is you don't have to be that smart to have an at least very good defense here. We just forgot that because of the garbage we had become accustomed under donofrio.

Overall there IS a lot of truth to that quote. It's just that it doesn't really matter based on where he's actually coaching.

Although we are head-to-head for some D-fensive recruits, I actually don't think that's Jimbo. He's too savvy to take bait like that from a rag magazine. That reads like someone with an inferiority complex. I am guessing that's from someone we buttoned-up pretty good like NC State, Virginia, Pitt, etc.

What did Jeff Spiccoli say in the old movie Fast Times at Ridgemont High: "Hahaha... Those guys are fägs."

"Learnin' about Defense, and having some food."

Diaz (and Kul) is a very fundamentally sound coach, first and foremost, and his schemes are a lot less complicated and "gimmicky" than what his predecessor was trying to run. There is actually not a lot of truth to that quote.

The more I read it, the more I think it is an opposing DC, and not a HC or even an OC. I think it's a salty midrange DC who thinks a CB blitz is a "gimmick", a la Randy Shannon, but aside from being an SEC guy now, it's too eloquent to have come from his sputtering mouth.

If a coach even said that (and that's a big if) it's highly unlikely that it was a head coach. Probably some loser assistant safeties coach at NCSt or something like that.
