Duke Johnson was a thoroughbred today, when the chips were down, he took over the game. He runs almost too tough for his frame but he was a real gamer. Running hard, moving piles, breaking tackles and making sure UM was ahead of the chains on early downs. I still wonder why though with this workload he is on KO returns

- Morris is what he is, Calvin Shiraldi. Great fastball, no command. It is, what it is and he's hand-cuffing Coley( who to be honest, isn't inspiring a lot of confidence, either)

- Stacy Coley is turning into who we think he was. Crown him. And he's only going to get better. He's no longer a freshman in my eyes but one of our true playmakers

- First half of D was awful, the tackling was atrocious and they couldn't get off the field. As for making adjustments against the wide splits, I mean, it's not like WFU just started doing this. This could not have been a big surprise and yet again, this unit is so **** reactive.

- Pat O'Donnell deserves a game ball. His punt after the great grab by Coley( which flipped the field) set up Miami nicely. On the flipside, Goudis is a liability. Second week in a row he misses a very makable kick in a tight game. I don't trust the guy

-Speaking of that sequence, that was some adroit game management by Golden. He didn't panic, used a great weapon in his punter and it worked to perfection in that sequence.

- But 7-0 is 7-0, yeah, this program/team might be a year or two away, but it's important to win games that you are supposed to. That's part of the development of any program. Make no doubt about it, this would have been a disastrous loss

- ACC officials were odd today, lets just put it that way. That Duke TD that wasn't was bizarre. It looked like an easy call and yet, it wasn't overturned.

- BTW if Miami is going to 'paper the house', they need to take some notes from boxing. That's the emptiest looking near sell-out Ive ever seen

Now, off to Tally. Hey, there's a reason why you play the games....

I just want to know why the halfback screen has been taken out of playbook?

Game ball to Duke!

Duke johnson has no biznizz getting 30 carries a game. That's fraudulent personnel management by this staff.

Especially when you have Crawford, Clements and Hagens available.

IMO, Morris isn't good at throwing screens. He doesn't sell it well enough, and neither does the OL. Whenever we try screens, you can hear the D yelling "screen!" pretty much as soon as the ball is snapped. I don't know if it's the design or execution, but we suck at it.

Running the football is a strength of the team. We should throw between 15-20 times a game for the rest of the season.

The tackle attempt by Cornelious on the last TD by Wake was most pathetic piece of **** attempt I have seen in a minute; he needs to lose snaps for that..

Tyrone Cornelius also had a key sack in the game... loss of 13 yards to put them out of field goal range in the 4th.

We needed the 30 carries today. Sure its not ideal but there is a considerable drop off between Duke and the others.

I do wish we went to Hagans on the 4th down Crawford carry. We saw him in short yardage once early in the year and he carried the pile 5 yards.

Odd game for our defense. They actually played exceptionally well on 1st and 2nd down. Wake was in 3rd and long all day. On the flip side, they got abused on 3rd down. And give some credit to Wake -- they had a great gameplan and they executed well.

The tackling all day was less than acceptable, they should have been tackled and down on so many plays in the first half it was ridiculous,

We had a ton of those 3rd down plays defensed well.....missed tackles and LB's struggle to cover in space. Not scheme, players need to play better.
