Where we go from here

He needs a finding Jesus moment for any significant changes to be made.

Experience over talent never works against equally matched teams.

Donaldson isn’t a RT. He got abused last year by quicker DTs so the line of thinking is to put him on the edge against DEs. GTFO with that nonsense. Scaife can play RT. He’s a 3 and out type talent.

The one change that can jumpstart this team is a change at QB. The 3 other QBs on the roster can’t be worse than 40 something % Rosier.

He found Jesus a long time ago. Hasn't helped.

Where we SHOULD go from here:

Assuming we had an administration with a clue that cared about football they'd put Richt on alert and let him know he's coaching the rest of the season for his job. Entering your 3rd full year as the coach of a University of Miami program with probation in the rear view mirror comes with higher expectations, and he's simply done a **** poor job of roster construction at several key spots. Failing to re-recruit Mcintosh and Norton was also an utter failure. The admins should make him take his own flight home and on that flight he should start putting together a short list of qualified OC candidates.

Where we WILL go from here:

Full speed ahead on present course, and **** the torpedoes. Kids are graduating, No players are getting arrested. Local churches are full. Everyone is paying their taxes. Things are EXACTLY how the board and administration wants them. Anyone who thinks Richt will get anything other than a pat on the *** and a "good effort" for this Saturday are going to be severely disappointed. There is a better chance this administration asks him to also call defensive play calls (while being named the new President of the school) before ANY sort of innuendo or pressure is applied to St. Mark.

So to sum it up cliff notes style, we are ****ed with 47 penises.

First off, I apologize for hyping this product. It’s embarrassing. Instead of erasing the Peach Bowl memory, we told the world nothing has changed. We won’t be respected for a long time after this. And we shouldn’t be.

As hopeless as we all feel, there is an entire season to play. Many seasons that looked doomed after the first game turned out very well. What are the best (realistic) steps to get things moving in the right direction? No coach is getting fired mid-season, so I’ll leave that to the other threads.

My overarching thought is this: we let experience play over talent because we started with LSU. That didn’t work, and every inferior talent got exposed. Now is the time to trust and fast track the talent.

QB- This is an obvious one. Rosier is 47% over his last eight games. That is a sample size of more than half his starting career. You can’t win like that. He’s not even the most athletic QB on the team. If anything, he’s the least dynamic.

We will be the underdog against every good team we play as long as Malik is the starter. What kills me the most is the lack of urgency he plays with. He was lifeless.

Greentree is not effective for evaluating QBs. Rosier looked improved until the real games started. We have four light games coming up. Put all three young guys under the fire (with live tackling) and see who emerges. Mix in reps with the first team. Use this schedule and the new redshirt rule to find out who belongs under center.

OL- Richt has been privately telling people that this team will take the next step when Delone Scaife, Cleveland Reed and John Campbell are ready to play. Time to expedite that process. Our guards looked out of place last night. A team like Clemson will make them look worse.

We need to get our guys through growing pains early. I’m not saying to start all three, but give them meaningful reps starting immediately. Scaife at RT and Donaldson at G may ultimately be the move.

P/K- Same story as above. Open it up over the next four games. We need to find out who is ready to play in a live environment against FSU. We were playing with a handicap all night.

DB- Dean and Knowles looked like the same guys. They are older than the others but not any better mentally. Time to let the young bloods learn on the job.

LSU was the perfect first test for us because they are strong where we are weak. Physical, strong and able to neutralize our athletic advantages. We failed the test miserably. Now is the time to radically rethink our approach as we look towards FSU.

The portion highlighted n green. THIS.

Not only does Malik Rosier suck ****** balls, he does it while acting "too cool for school". Even if you can't help being a trash QB, you CAN help showing life, and being a vocal leader, keeping the players engaged and active, having a sense of tempo and aggression about you as a ****** VET LEADER that the other players can follow.

But NOOOOOOOO. This guy wants to both suck *** AND saunter around like he's at a ****** jazz club and its no big deal that he is consistently TORPEDOING OUR DRIVES, GAMES & SEASONS. The ****** audacity of this clown to be both BAD and NONCHALANT at the ONE POSITION you simply can't have EITHER of those things. Get him out of my FACE.

I agree! Nkosi, Cade, and Jarren all need to play next week. Barry reported that UM officials say Nkosi doesn’t do anything that wows you on Greentree. If that’s the case for him and Cade then we can’t be scared to start Jarren. Anybody (except Rosier) can make a slant route

Also I’ve seen posts about Richards going off on Rosier. When did that happen? Any video or links?

Well, Rosy kept doing things that wowed people last night. After almost every throw I was shouting “Wow”, “WOW”, so there’s that.

Unfortunately all that money he gave for the IPF and the super nice guy thing locks him in for a while.
What you see is what you get last night and we ain't seen nothing yet.
We've got a couple more years of this comin...

Unfortunately Ritch will do none off that.

Maybe they should consider having the 1s go against the 1s in practice instead of 1s vs 2s.

Probably makes a lot these “1s” (#12) look a lot better than they are.

I know the D was less than stellar, but I have a hard time getting too down on them when LSU started at midfield nearly the whole first half.

Our offense the first half:
3 plays, PUNT
6 plays, FG
9 plays, MISSED FG
3 plays, PUNT
2 plays, PICK 6
5 plays, PUNT

Feagles absolutely killed us last night. Our defense is predicated on pressure. When LSU started at **** near the 50 yard line the whole first half they felt zero pressure. And once they scored 2 in a row and were really able to lean on the run we were ***^ed. And the one time feagles did his job we got not 1 but 2 penalties on 4th down. You can't make this stuff up.

Also, I can't stand the way replay works. How do they replay and review anything that goes our way and anytime a play goes the other teams way they don't even show the replay on the **** broadcast. Every time we have a questionable call the crowd lets you know because they groan collectively when they see the replay, did you hear that when the guy dropped the ball at the 1 on the play that set up the TD? No because they didn't show it on the jumbo tron. Not saying its remotely why we lost but this is just another frustrating part of the game last night
I don’t know how that one punt wasn’t blocked, the guy was right there

We gave up less than 300 yards.

I agree with your post 100%. I just wanted to focus on this point here.

1. IMO, there is no pressure on him to do this. I am sure it is encouraged (hey Mark, coach the offense too...everything is great!). Let's not forget how Richt was hired to begin with. There is no real plan with these admins.

2. Richt's ego is way too big to see his flaws. He doubled down on this by refusing to bring in ANYONE who can help him diagnose and coach an offense. Even with the opportunity to add a coach, he added someone on defense. Top it off with his unqualified son coaching the QBs, how could anything go wrong? I think we're extremely lucky that his other son is into music and not football because we easily could have another Richt on this staff.

3. Not many coaches are capable of calling plays and being the HC. To do such a task, you have to be an elite coach (on that side of the ball) in addition to leading the team. Very few do it and even Saban gets help. No need to post the stats but the last time he coached the offense it didn't work out either and the sample size was tremendous. I am not sure why anyone with a brain thought that it would work this time.

I expect zero pressure and his son to be retained.

I was yelling at the tv “put Ivey or Frierson in now”
See Delaney? My god!

Y’all are smoking crack with the fire Richt or he should be on the hot seat comments. He’s been a great ambassador for this program and needs a chance to see if he’s willing to correct this **** show.

Yes if we lose anymore games this season then I may change that opinion but for now we gotta see if this is an Al Golden “I’m not ever going to make a change” type of situation or if he will be willing to make adjustments even if it’s firing coaches, hiring an OC, getting rid of Hartleys *** afcknsap etc
