To put it more into depth.
Duke (Mind you, he also could have been a top corner, played corner in high school.)
2011 - 208 carries, 2087 rush yards, 29 rush TD's, 3 Rec TDs, 4 return TD's.
2010 - 144 carries, 1482 rush yards, 17 rush TD's, 1 Rec TD
2009 - 152 carries, 1540 rush yards, 24 rush TD's, 1 Rec TD
(This is what I was able to find. Not sure if he played in 08 as a freshman and might be missing return stats for 2010 and 2009 and missing defensive stats.)
Yearby
2013 - 177 carries, 1700 rush yards, 19 Rush TD's (I know he missed some games due to injury, think it was 2 playoff games.)
2012 - 212 carries, 1448 rush yards, 20 Rush TD's, 1 Rec TD
2011 - 283 carries, 2160 rush yards, 24 Rush TD's, 1 Rec TD
2010 - 49 carries, 285 rush yards, 6 Rush TD's
Throw two final gems out there.
1. Duke played on worse and less talented teams than Yearby. Central more of a hotbed than Norland. Duke put Norland on another level.
2. During his senior year, Johnson compiled 2,087 rushing yards and 29 touchdowns, 14 receptions for 232 receiving yards and three touchdowns, three kickoff returns and one punt return for scores, as he led Miami Norland to 14–0 finish and state Class 5A championship. In the championship game against Wakulla, he scored FIVE touchdowns.
I'm not knocking Yearby at all. Love his game, compared him to Warrick Dunn, all that good stuff.
But Duke was just ridiculous, it's not a debate. Duke put his team on his back.
Only back in recent history close to Duke after Duke came out. Was Dalvin Cook this past year. Who I would put a hair under Duke, because Dalvin had more talented teams.
Sony, Yearby and Collins were all nice. But only one who comes close is Dalvin to Duke.
Duke had 5 touchdowns to beat wakulla in state championship as senior, Dalvin had 4 to beat seffner armwood. Both incredible displays.
It's not playing a favorite either. Duke did a lot with just a little.
