LULZ. You dudes crack me up with the melodramatics about Corch Al being the only guy who would stick through this mess known as UM. Foolishness. First, UM rescued Al Tin from that toilet Temple. He tried to get out of there several times but couldn't get anyone to hire him until we did.

Second, Al Tin has $2M+ reasons to stick with UM. You guys act like he's Mother Fcking Theresa and doing this **** as a volunteer. The guy's stealing MONSTER checks from UM to give us the worst defense in the history of the program and a near .500 **** record here.

Couldnt have said it any better myself, People act like Golden was doing UM such a favor when he hasnt done anything. Golden is not greater than UM, he is getting paid 2 mil and basically holding UM hostage right now imposing his terrible best friend on us so he can also collect a 6 figure salary. There are atleast 100 DC who could do a better job than Dorito, we dont need him. Can his *** and believe me we will be just fine, even if we are not it doesnt matter we are getting blown out by Duke nowadays anyway...

The good thing is, we won't be bombarded with "Al Golden to Texas" or "Golden to NFL" threads anymore. How funny this board can go from having the most thought after coach in college football-The Don to fire Golden the Corch Tin in 3 weeks! Smartest fans on this planet.

Agree with the initial post. We're all fans and rightfully ****ed about the last two games, but doesn't mean we have to be ugly and disrespectful. Unfortunately we live in a microwave age where change and gratification is instantly required. Can't tell if posters are the Randy lifers or FSU/Florida folks trying to ding or created turmoil . . . or irrational, clueless 18-year-old Canes fans.
Lulz at this assessment. So everyone gave Al Golden 3 years without aying a thing and you deem that as "instant gratification." Guess what, he has produced the two worst defenses in the history of the program (Within 2 weeks our defense will be in the 90s probably). No one demanded instant anything. But keep telling yourself that so you can sit on your high horse and deem yourself above it all. Three years to turn a program around and make it respectable (not win a national championship) but the guy can't even get to 10 wins with a strength of schedule ranked in the 60s (I believe).

Uh. We flew a banner for him a few weeks ago, and now he's trash. That's a pretty rapid change, no?

I kind of grapple with that, and then realize we are fans, students and alumni who love the Canes and are going to emote how we feel, rightly or wrongly, only time will tell. Personally, I am excited about the recruiting class and hopefully all of the issues surrounding the coaching, talent and otherwise will get resolved.

We lost to Duke. No, correction; we got owned by Duke. I'll say that again…Duke owned us. I need to look at nothing else. Almost all my support for this staff went out the door as I watched that debacle (much like the feeling I had sitting in the OB with my old man watching UVA embarrass us in our last game in the Old Lady). What's left of that support disappears completely, never to return again, if Al retains his butt buddy. We pay this staff millions of dollars. We had a chance to go to our first ACCCG. All we had to do was beat f*cking DUKE!

It was a weak "effort" (to say the least)by the U but the fact that it was Duke; who gives a ####?

I know it's galling but the U isn't entitled to beat up on Duke every year. My guess is Duke has worked hard, had good fortune with injuries and, guess what, they are having a good year. They are D1 program, good school that probably attracts sone good student athletes too.

This wasn't Appalachian State. Wonder how UNC feels having just lost in bball to Columbia.

Duke fans probably were equally apoplectic when we beat the crap out them this past winter.

500 yards given up in three straight division games is all that matters.

Some of us gave the dude EVERY possible benefit of the doubt for 3 fcking years. We made every excuse in the book for him and his broken down piece of **** record-breakingly bad defense. There's nothing instant about this.

LOL. Ok. I guess you'd better hope that the lights don't ever come on. If they somehow got this thing turned around, I'm guessing your tune might change a bit...would sure suck for you to have this post extracted from the archives as you're trying to hop back on the bandwagon.

If you were around for the last two years, you would know I have been one of Al's biggest supporters. The Duke game -- in isolation -- is not the reason I no longer have confidence in him. But for me, it was certainly the tipping point. Miami should never lose to Duke -- never -- and certainly not in that fashion in a coach's third year at the helm. Comparing a basketball loss to this one is apples to oranges for several obvious reasons that I don't feel like spelling out for you.

Name that porster:

"The anti-D'Onofrio guys are just sitting back waiting for us to have a tough game defensively so they can start shredding him again and feel like they were right about him. The egos are too big to just admit they were idiots about him. They've been taking subtle jabs all year claiming that we haven't been tested yet all the while forgetting how atrocious we were last year against almost everyone."

"That was the classic mantra of the agenda team. Coach D went from a guy who took Temple to a top 16 defense to braindead in 2 years all because some dopey fans had agendas and axes to grind."

I don't hope for my program to fail. I would love for the scenario to unfold where Dorito morphs into Nick Saban, we lead the country in defense, and you tack my post to the top of the board and neg me every day until I reach Toad status. It ain't happening. And if Al doesn't treat this situation objectively, put aside personal bias, and do what's in the best interest of the program, then he is not needed here.

Maybe the poster who exhibited the same trait we all hope our head coach exhibits at the end of the year?

Schizophrenia? Bi-polar disorder? Malignant narcissism?

Or, knowing when you made a mistake.
