What are you going to miss most of the Golden era?

In all honesty I am very appreciative for a few things he brought here. First and foremost was the complete 180 he did from Shannon. He encouraged, **** BEGGED the former players to come back. ****, for some people new to the program, that was a HUGE line in the sand.

Also giving us more access to the team and players.....man that was brutal during the time before Golden.

Golden has a lot going for him and it wouldn't surprise me if he is a very successful coach in the future....but I wash my hands of the whole thing.

I think he will be a very successful hire for PSU.. He just ended up being the wrong fit for Miami. Wish him well.

he definitely belongs in the Big - 10...I just think its a better fit for him ...he doesn't have that South Florida pressure
and its a different kind of athlete that he can recruit...

South Florida...You have to embrace everything that is Miami down here.

The history of The U, what it means to these kids, the culture...It takes a special kind of guy to do that...and win big.

The kids here are Fast, love the swagger, put on for their "hood"...

I'm going to miss the pure ******ry of force feeding a super soft zone bend but don't break 3-4 2 gap defense to kids that have played in an aggressive attacking scheme since pee wee and the buffoonery of thinking it woukd work when your primary recruiting pool which is in your back yard consists of a who's who of speedy athletic freaks born to play man, bump and run and attack the quarterback out of a 4-3 front.

Honestly, I would miss his recruiting skills a bit. With a few exceptions, I thought he did a pretty good job of selling these kids on staying home, education is key, and "The Brand". We have the talent on the roster to be special, but how it was used was my biggest qualm with Golden. The NCAA coaching carousel never ends. The Bill Snyders of the world are few and far between. Jimmie left, Butch left, it seems Golden is to leave. It happens. Lets just hope Blake James earns his paycheck This week.

I am going to miss the recruits that are currently committed that jump ship and we sign the #24 ranked class in the nation.

Don't be such a smartass...go back and look at the rankings of our mid-80's classes that eventually won NCs...and our highly ranked classes that did nothing. Not defending Golden...defending accurate history...not the revisionism that says that every class JJ brought in was full of great players...or that highly ranked recruits always become great players. They don't. Just sometimes.

We won NCs with classes ranked in the mid-20's.

That's it!

We need a guy from the 'hood...a brother who knows the streets...even better, knows the UM style of defense because he played it....

oh wait...we tried that already....
