I can see Mario letting Guidry try to make things right by letting him hire all new coaches.
I hope it's not the case but I wouldn't be surprised.
I don't expect that.
I don't know what to think about Guidry if I'm truly honest.
Last year, everyone loved him. This year, we know the story.
Between then and now, some of us (the sometimes vocal minority) said the defense would be a problem. Namely the secondary and DT, but basically the entire D.
We portaled away and like always, players we got, all were viewed through rose colored glasses. Again, some of us were far more reserved on what we had coming in and knew we lost more than we gained. ****, we had some people saying we'd just plug Scott in at DT after a few games, all is good.
I wouldn't be surprised at all to see him back. Perhaps a change or two, but not wholesale slaughter. Looking to next year, we still face the same personnel problems back there we had this year. So I guess we'll see and hate to say it, I'm not sure a coaching change fixes that.
All of that out of the way, we could've done better. You always can, but I wasn't all that shocked by what we saw. I'd be interested in seeing a baseline offensive team stats comparison for those we played this year versus last. I feel, perhaps wrongly, that the offense we played this year were better overall than last year.
