we're #14

Four SEC teams with a loss, ranked ahead of us.:ohlord:

People who say preseason polls are meaningless should realize that they give people excuses to keep recycling teams ahead of us, even though they lose.

You never fall to far when half your conference starts the season in the top 15.

The fact that UGa is ranked 6th and Louisville ranked 7th is a joke and that garbage South Carolina team still being ranked ahead of Miami and is just SEC bias at its finest.

Miami's defense period should mean we are a top 10 team. Texas aTm has a worst defense then Miami's last year smh.

More Non Bias/Realistic Ranking

1. Oregon
2. Alabama
3. Clemson
4. Stanford
5. Ohio St
6. Miami
7. UCLA
8. FSU
9. UGa
10.LSU

Come on. You ranking us 6th is ridiculous. We've played one team of consequence and one that may drop two or three more before the year is out.

6? Take the goggles off. We've had three gimmes.

We are around where we should be. Nowhere to go but up though.

No we're not. Our win over UF is as impressive as GA's over LSU. And we haven't lost. USCe has no business being ahead of us. Louisville has no business being ahead of us. TAMU has a loss and one of the worst defenses in Div 1. They, too, should be behind us.

Based on how the season has played out so far, this is how the top of the polls should look. Keep in mind you have to take into account where teams are currently ranked, not where they were ranked when a team played them.

1. Clemson - victory over current #6 Georgia is by far the best win of any of the top teams. They should #1 by a wide margin.

2. Alabama - victory over current #9 Texas assTomouth

3. Stanford - victory over current #22 Arizona State

4. UGA - yeah they have a loss, but it was to the team currently ranked #3, in a very close game on the road. Plus two victories vs teams currently in the top 15. Even with the loss they have a more impressive resume then a lot of undefeated teams.

5. Ohio State, FSU, Oklahoma and Oregon. They're pretty interchangeable. None of them has beaten a team worth a crap yet this season. With a gun to my head I would put Ohio State and Oklahoma ahead of the other two because beating Wisconsin and Notre Dame on the road respectively are decent wins. FSU and Oregon haven't played anybody even close to ranked yet so they get no credit for anything as it stands now.

We'll see just how biased the voters are towards the SEC when FSU plays Clemson. UGA lost to Clemson and only dropped 3 or 4 spots. If and when FSU loses @ Clemson, we'll see how far they fall. Hopefully not too far, that way when we beat their *** we'll jump into the top 10.

I have no issue being behind those 1 loss SEC teams.

Why? They have a loss. Why shouldn't VT, hate then as I might, be in the top ten? Their only loss was to Bama--just like TAM. USCe almost lost to UCF--why does beating them still give UGA a boost? UGA has no business in the top 10; they lost their only non-conference game of meaning.

If this sort of crap where losing to a SEC team isn't like actually losing was in effect in the 80's and 90's, we would have played FSU in NC rematch every year. How many years were we the two best teams in the country and played games decided by a couple points(which we always won of course). The rest of football could have just been cancelled. All the one loss sec teams should be ranked behind the undefeated major conference schools. ****, if the gator beat a couple more SEC teams, they will jump us despite us being undefeated.

If the teams you play don't drop in ranking when they lose then your strength of schedule is artificially floated. UGA should had been top 10 when they beat LSU. Then LSU's loss is worse and they drop farther. When So Car lost to UGA, a team that loss to a ACC team, they should had fallen must lower also. TAM loss at home and surely should be ranked lower than VT. SEC should have only one top ten team. ACC should have 3 and VT should be highest ranked one loss team.

Watching Bama yesterday left me thinking there no way we loss to them. Ole Miss has no offense and were so happy to make a tackle they left the fumbles on the ground. UGA and LSU play defense like we did last year--none. We belong in the top 10 ahead of all the one loss teams. I don't know why Clemson isn't rank #1. I mean they beat UGA, who is apparently so good that they almost top 5.

Ah, the SEC Round Robin continues.

A tick back for a loss, a big tick forward for a win. SEC poll logic.

We should 3rd, behind Clemson and Bama. We beat a SEC team. OSU, Oregon, and Stanford have not so their wins mean nothing.

Some of you don't understand how the system works....the rankings right now aren't treated the same way they are later on. So while we're currently #14, we are really #11 cause there are 3 one loss teams in front of us.

If this was late November the rankers would automatically slide us up...that's how it works. Right now I don't even think the people that vote are putting too much thought into it other than rolling forward the prior weeks rankings and shifting teams that lose accordingly.

So looking at it that way...there's 9 teams that stand between us and the #2 spot which gets you a BCS championship birth. Also keep in mind some of those 9 play each other head to head so there's automatic drops coming. Start looking at it that way and you'll help stop driving yourselves insane.

the sec glitch is still in.........

good lord....I'd suit up with that SOUTH CAROLINA team right now and have no fear in doing so....

ole miss NEVER should be ranked in the firts place..this will continue throughout the year despite people saying it will shake it self out...it wont...there will be 2 loss sec teams ranked ahead of other teams with 1 losses. And when other teams lose within conference they will drop to Bolivia...meanwhile sec teams lose and move 2-3 spots back...only to fall back in position with a win..........GLITCH..and they love it.

Love how OU goes up 3 spots after beating a decent Notre Shame team. (remember, ND lost to U-Michigan who barely escaped Akron and UConn) :ohlord:
