Not a fan of several of our commitments and hope they plan on dropping the 2 Orlando OL because they’re not good.

Antoine was my favorite player in the class and he’s coming off an undisclosed injury (to my knowledge), Wallace is gonna be a while, and you’re gonna lose Merritt and Upshaw and I like both of them.

After what I’ve seen on the field I’m even more concerned at LB because you’re bringing in more of the same.

I feel good about TE and RB. WR is fine. Love SJ and Buchanan. I think Nickel is solid but I’m not sure where his ceiling is at. Pretty low probably. Big fan of Scroggins but he’s a couple years away and that’s all you have at DE. Very very low on Ewald, Fitzgerald, and Simpson. Don’t think they can play here. Again, more of the same at CB with guys that don’t run that well and more of the same at safety with kids that prove on a weekly basis that they can’t tackle, even at the HS level, except for Stubbs.

It would take dropping 5-6 of those guys and flipping several to make me feel good about the class overall regardless of the ranking.

Falling behind the big boys continues. Let’s see what we do in the portal because there’s tons of holes and no fix in sight. Not going to be fixed with true freshman anyway. Need to fill holes with guys that have 2-3 years of eligibility

Ohio State Head coach, Alabama Head coach, Competent LSU head coach, Competent Texas head coach. Those Schools will out perform Mario 8/10 times with the right coach. Doesn't matter if Mario is "better" than them. They will outperform him. Kirby Smart, Dan Lanning, Hugh Freeze to name a few more. I think Mario is a very good recruiter. I think we will get 5-8 classes consistently. I just dont think he should be given the crown as King or should be expectation year in year out. Hes never been that guy.

All depends on how elite he actually is in the intangibles. Measurables aren’t great.

I think Coleman is the QB of the future in terms of guys we’ve taken from HS. Maybe Emory between next year and 2027 when he’s ready. Obviously portal is an option and I expect that to be the answer

I dont doubt Mario's recruiting prowess one bit, his evals are another story though.

It’s possible but unlikely. Numbers show he closes and recruits better than most based on his class rankings. We have certainly seen that the first two classes here, even the transition class of 22 was impressive in terms who he got to sign last second. Draft wise though, and I realize that is only a part of it but it is a big part, his numbers just aren’t that impressive. They aren’t horrible but not great. He has had some high level draft picks but lacks in quantity with what you would expect based on coinciding class rankings.

I think it's interesting to hear Mario has to recruit to a certain level because he isn't a good coach. Riddle me what Kirby Smart's record would be if he signed let's say the #12, #8, #11 classes over a 3 year period? Ryan Day? It's about talent, and are some coaches good playcallers, and or scheme, yes. Bottom line is if you don't have the talent you will not win bigly.

People say Kalen Deboar is a great coach, does more with less. I agree he is a very good coach, but last year he had 3 first round picks, and 7 top 100 players at Washington.

Mike Norvell has 8 top 100 picks, and he goes 13-0 and wins ACC. He loses all those players, and now he is 1-9. What changed? Well he lost all his talent.

Last year Miami's defense was much better under Guidry.

He loses Kam, James, Couch, Davis (3 secondary players drafted), also Flagg who many didn't like, but was always in position, was a very smart player and Cloyd who played well in his snaps solid tackler, now the back 7 is a mess with bad angles, confusion, and can't tackle. Did Guidry become and idiot? Is he back on the bottle? Or did he lose better players than what he has now?

I don’t think you’ve ever said anything negative about Miami ever, but there’s no way you’re comparing Mario to DeBoer and Kirby right?

DeBoer is 111-14 in his career as a HC.

Smart is 101-18.

Even Ryan Day is 63-9 despite doing more with less.

Mario is 83-73.
