Well, ****, college recruiting is an absolute cesspool

This has been going on for a long while.

Ever since the old Southwest Conference got blown up, the old boy network innovated a new way to cheat...no longer are these boosters directly connected to anything. That is how schools like SMU got hit, and TAMU on probation a million times...no more direct connections to families. The schools are not directed to anything. There are intermediaries that take care of everything and good luck tracking the money. In the south, going through churches are one of the easiest ways...good luck tracking that money, they don't have to show anybody anything in regards to their books.

I know, but the involvement of THREE churches conspiring together to wash the illegal payout and keep a split on the side...It just makes me sick.

I ain't say'n its right, but its the way it is.

I'm more envious than anything.

This, we just had the wrong Booster. It's institutionalized in the SEC. If you aint cheatn, you aint trying.

If CFB recruiting is dirty, then what is CBB recruiting, with the AAU's and such?

Then again, CFB has got it's own version now with 7 on 7's

this is how they operate in the $EC and one reason why it is hard to nail them down (of course the media has no real interest it seems in nailing them)

As a financial officer at my church, I can say that these churches (if true, link anybody?) are absolutely playing with fire (literally). The Gov and IRS are LOOKING for reasons to strip churches of their 501(c)3 status and if it's discovered that they're money laundering, then all **** will break loose. But with that said, where is all this coming from?

Where does the OP list any factual evidence besides "first hand knowledge"? Expose the info, if you got it.

Jeez, guys, where have you been?

How in Hades do you think it's been working in the South (SEC) for the past decades?? They don't pull a Shapiro! That's a direct contact! That's about as dumb as anyone can possibly be.

For decades and decades - the money goes through the congregations. The preacher gets his cut, and the FAMILY gets the money - NOT the damned player.

The congregation isn't taxed on the money, the person(s) writing the checks get a tax deduction for charity giving, and the player is clean. He never did NOTHING. He goes where he's told.

See what you boys miss by not attending Sunday school? Lots and lots of top talents . . .

It's coming from someone that is concerned about exactly this. But I didn't bring it up to single out Clemson, but rather comment on how corrupting college recruiting has become.
