that **** is unacceptable.
i don't know what the bench press #s say.
That's not evidence of a S&C issue. That was just a basic wrestling throw. If you come at someone high, that will happen.[/QUOTE
And that was after the whistle, the play was dead and players had slowed up. I'm not debating on Swasey, just know that some now will debate he sucks, others will say no. Personally I think the naysayers are a bit off on him. Are there other coordinators out there that are better? I wouldn't doubt it. Is he the problem? I don't think so, he is at the mercy of his boss. If his boss wants a certain type of physique or conditioning for his players he has to tailor it to that, also the commitment from the players has to be in it as well, under the Coker and Shannon regimes, it is common knowledge how lax and soft things were, so if the leadership promotes that type of environment, the commitment to the weight room will lack as well. Under Golden, that is different, and thus we have seen noticeable changes in the players since Golden's first year. Is this a result of Swasey finally knowing what to do? Of course not, this has to do with the direction and environment cultivated by his boss. And finally, if he truly did suck, then why is it that former players, who are now professionals, who now are playing for real money, and who cannot afford to risk their conditioning and fitness because of that money, why do they return to train with him? These pros have access to the latest of up to date technology to work out and people to work out with, yet they come back here to work out with him. I doubt that these players would risk their professional conditioning, if this guy sucked. I'm not saying he's the best, nor do I agree he sucks either.
