Mario Cristobal enters 2025 on the hot seat if that happens. His first two seasons were poor. 2024 should have resulted in more and resulted in a choke at the end. That's poor preparation and a waste of resources on a mid coach. Let's hope that doesn't occur.

I don’t see them walking away from and shelling out 10’s of millions of dollars in buyouts and new salaries because Mario won 9 or so games and Canes fans demand excellence. They resigned/got terminated the next season, didn't they? Look, I've been here for all of the failures of the last two decades. It feels somewhat groundhog day-ish. All of these "arguments" were said about Shannon, Golden, Richt, Diaz, and now Mario. I think it's premature to go down this rabbit hole right now. I expect to win the next two games and Mario not to join that dubious list of failed coaches that had one mirage "turn the corner" season without actually winning anything. No need to worry about something that hasn't occurred for now.
